The Audiobahn Way

To bring the product to market that excites the consumer through sound and vision from an orientation of integrity and customer service. We make you look as good as you sound. We strive to take car audio to an extreme the world has never seen, and a world that never stops evolving.

Audiobahn was established in 1997 with one long-term goal in mind, “Build it Bigger, Badder, & Better, and the people will take notice!” We back this statement with an engineering team that has brought home several Innovations, Design &

Engineering Showcase Awards, and a marketing team from around the world that spends countless hours developing our no compromise products to satisfy the most discriminating enthusiasts.

Our global manufacturing facilities feature ISO9002 ratings (the highest level of quality control awarded in the electronics manufacturing industry), fully robotic assembly lines and a state of the art, California based R & D laboratory.

Our Technical Department and entire staff look to strive above and beyond the rest of the pack by going that extra mile to help you out. Whether you happen to be a veteran competitor, or a beginner car audio enthusiast who does not know a voice coil from a spider. We are all her to help you get the best system you can with what you have.

Judge for yourself, and remember what it’s all about, “If it’s not Bigger, Badder & Better, it’s not Audiobahn.” If audio is your life, Audiobahn is the brand for you!

We make you look as good as you sound. People never stop trying to get the best product, so we will never stop making it.

TERMINALS

The box can be wired in 1) a stereo configuration (each sub wired to a different channel) or 2) a mono configuration (both subs wired together to a single channel of an amp, or two bridged channels of an amp). Looking at the back of the box you will see each side’s terminals. The left terminal is negative (-) and the right side is positive (+) for each set.

For LED (Light)

Your bandpass box also comes with another terminal that looks like the one pictured above. You need to hook this up to a 12 volt power source and a ground. The power (+) is on the right side and the ground (-) on the left side. You may want to wire this up to a switch so you can turn the LED light on and off. You can wire it up to the remote wire so the neon light turns on when you turn your stereo on.

MOUNTING

6

After determining the best mounting position, check carefully in the areas where you have positioned the enclosure. Make sure that you position the enclosure in an area where you will be able to mount the unit. If there are no supplied hardware available, please use some other means of mounting the enclosure to the vehicle.

WARNING

TO AVOID POTENTIAL INJURY FROM MOVEMENT OF THE ENCLOSURE

DURING AGGRESSIVE VEHICLE MANEUVERS (ACCELERATION, STOPS AND

ACCIDENTS), THE ENCLOSURE MUST BE PROPERLY INSTALLED AND SE-

CURELY FASTENED TO THE VEHICLE.

Troubleshooting

7

2)

3)

4)

If you start having problems with distorted sound or loss of performance after installing your box in your empty enclosure, you can follow the instructions below to try and locate what is causing the problem.

1) If you have any distorted sound, loss of performance, or rattling from your subs after you install your box, check the connections running from your amplifier or other processor to the box. You will also want to check the connections inside the box to make sure no wires have become un hooked or are loose.

If the above does not solve the problem, check your enclosure thoroughly to see if there are any leaks, cracks, or broken pieces. Make sure the plexiglass is securelt fastened. Any loss of structural integrity of your enclosure can cause significant performance loss and distortion.

The next step you can take is to remove the subs and look for any burned wire leads or separated components. Sometimes when you play subs too hard for too long, they will start to heat up.

If none of the above steps solve the problem, you will want to start looking at the other components in the vehicle. Start by checking all connections to and from the box, amplifier, source unit, or any other processors you may be using. You will need to reference to that particular manufacturer for any setting configurations or troubleshooting.

Warning And Disclaimer

8

Investigate the layout of your automobile thoroughly before drilling or cutting any holes. Take care when you work near gas tanks, gas lines, hydraulic lines, and electrical wiring. Do not use the power amplifier unmounted. Attach the system securely to the automobile to prevent damage, particularly in the event of an accident. Do not mount the system so that the wire connections are unprotected or are subject to pinching or damage from nearby objects.

The +12V DC power wire must be fused at the battery positive terminal connection. Before making or breaking power connections at the system power terminals, disconnect the +12V wire at the battery end. Confirm your radio/head unit and/or other equipment is turned off while connecting the input jacks and speaker terminals. If you need to replace the power fuse, replace it only with a fuse identical to that supplied with the system. Using a fuse of a different type or rating may result in damage to this system which is not covered by the warranty.
