Four Possible Setup Scenarios for Video Conferencing
Scenario 1: Public IP Configuration (Outside of Firewall)
1.From the remote press “Home” -> “Setting” -> “System Settings” -> “LAN Configuration”.
2.In the “Obtain IP address” line, choose “Static IP”.
3.Manually input the “Public IP address”, “Subnet Mask” and “Default Gateway”.
4.Select “Apply” and press
5.Press “Home” on the remote to return to the home menu.
6.Press the “Call” button on the remote and you are ready to make your first call.
Dialing Methods
IP Address Dialing
1.Press the “Call” button on the remote to open the call options
2.Input the IP address of the location you are planning to call
3.Choose the call quality you want to connect with
4.Press the Call button on the screen to initiate the video conference call

1.Press the “Call” button on the remote to open the call options
2.Input the IP address of the location you are planning to call
a. Choose a group to associate the site with
b. Give the site a name
c. Input the IP address
d. Select a call Quality setting
e. Save your entry
Dialing from Phone Book
1.Press the Phone Book option from the remote or on screen option
2.High light the entry you wish to call do
3.Press the “return” button on the remote to initial the call
Dialing while registered to a Gatekeeper/Border Controller
Extension (alias) dialing
1.Register to GK/BC
2.Press the “Call” button on the remote to open the dialing pad
3.Input the extension of the Video conferencing system you want to connect with
4.Choose the call quality you want to connect with
5.Press the Call button on the remote to initiate the video conference call

2.Input the IP address of the MCU, “..” and extension of the room number (example: 192.168.1.12..5678)

Scenarios 2 & 3: Private IP Configuration (Behind Firewall with Port Forwarding)
1. From the remote press “Home” -> “Setting” -> “System Settings” -> “LAN Configuration”.
2. In the “Obtain IP address” line, choose “Static IP”.
3. Manually input the assigned “Private IP address”, “Subnet Mask” and “Default Gateway”.
4. Select “Apply” and press .
5. Press “Back” on the remote to return to previous menu.
6. Go to “Network” - > “Firewall” and press .
7. Place a check in the NAT box and enter the Public IP in the “NAT Public (WAN) Address” field.
8. Enable H.323 ALG in your Network firewall (if applicable)
9. Press the “Home” button on the remote to return to the home menu.
10. Press the “Call” button on the remote and you are ready to make your first call

Go to “Network” - > “Gatekeeper” and press .
Assign an extension to the unit
Enter the IP address of your Gatekeeper in the “Gatekeeper IP address” field and place a check in the “Use Gatekeeper” box
9. Press “Back” on the remote to return to previous menu.
10. Go to “Firewall” and press ; place a check in the “Enable H.460 firewall traversal” option
11. Place a check in the NAT box and enter the Public IP in the “NAT Public (WAN) Address” field (optional)
12. Press the “Home” button on the remote to return
13. Press the “Call” button on the remote and you are ready to make your first call

Web Tool/System Security
The Web Tool allows network administrators to access AVer HVC remotely. To access the AVer HVC Web Tool, Make sure
the AVer HVC unit has a valid IP and is connected to your network. From any network computer, open a web browser
and input the IP address of your AVer HVC unit* in the URL field.
Cam. Control – allows you to view the camera, and access the screen interface and remote control.
Phonebook – allows you to add, edit, delete, download and upload the phonebook entries.
Call History – allows you to add contact in the phonebook, download call history and call from the list.
Setting – allows you to update the system, download and restore the system, and get the test report.
Contact Us – links you to our global website.
* Default IP address: 192.168.0.1
