installation in a drop ceiling. The small, visible part has
a plain finish and does not intrude on any type of

requires just 240 mm depth between a drop ceiling and
ceiling slab for installation. Only its smooth and simple

most of the time. This is especially
important at night in a residential situation

inverter power control is able to achieve a
high COP even when multiple indoor units
operate simultaneously for long periods of

Reluctance DC Scroll Compressor
Overheating losses are reduced by pressurising the area
around the motor, boosting energy saving performance in
conjunction with other features.
High thrust mechanism
By introducing high pressure oil, the
reactive force from the fixed scroll is added
to the internal force, thereby reducing
thrust losses. This results in improved
efficiency and suppressed sound levels.

Ferrite magnet
Quietness is yet another important feature of Daikin’s Super Multi Plus E series. To
reduce noise and realise comfortable operation, latest technologies and features are
applied to the outdoor units, achieving the quiet operating sound level of 43 dB (A) in
night quiet mode.

control adaptor for outdoor unit, DTA104A61 or
DTA104A62, and a subsequently obtained timer are

temperature is memorised. The low operating mode
will become active 8 hours*1 after the peak
temperature in the daytime, and operation will return
to normal 10 hours*2 after that. The operation sound
level for the night mode can be selected from 49 dB
(A) (Step 1), 46 dB (A) (Step 2) and 43 dB (A) (Step
3).
>> Stronger materials
These two new features work to significantly
reduce noise. Guides are added to the bell
mouth intake to reduce turbulence in the
airflow generated by fan suction. The new
Aero Spiral Fan features fan blades with bent
blade edges, further reducing turbulence.

Design flexibility and easy installation
The Super Multi Plus E Series is connectable to up to 8 indoor units. While the BP unit and the REFNET
joint make installation simple, long piping length and simplified wiring broaden design flexibility.

Simplified electrical wiring connection
Thin refrigerant piping makes handling and connecting easier, resulting in significantly reduced installation time.
The outdoor unit and the BP units operate from separate single-phase power supplies, so no power supply wiring is needed
between them. The size of the wiring pipe from the outdoor unit to the BP units can be reduced, making installation easier.

Durable outdoor unit
Space saving
The outdoor unit’s heat exchanger fins are processed using a
special anticorrosion treatment. The surface is covered with a
thin acrylic resin layer to enhance the fins’ resistance to acid
rain and salt corrosion. A hydrophilic film layer also prevents
rust caused by the run off of water droplets. Additional
durability is provided by a rustproof steel sheet on the bottom
of the unit.
A single high-capacity outdoor unit can drive up to 8 indoor
units, making it powerful enough to air-condition a whole
residence. This powerful unit can be easily installed on a
balcony with its slimline design, which measures (H) 1,345 x
(W) 900 x (D) 320 mm.
Long refrigerant piping
A maximum total piping length of 145 m offers flexibility in the choice of
installation positions for the indoor units, and greatly simplifies system
planning.

Centralised Control system
Both Super Multi Plus and VRV systems are compatible with the Building
Air-Conditioning Control System. This allows Super Multi Plus and VRV units to be
conveniently operated from the same common controller when the two systems are
installed together in a building.

panel visible after installation. A simple design
makes it comfortable to the public eye in shops and

Three convenient patterns for auto-swing operation
Compact decoration panel
Standard: a swing range of 10 to 65
Draft prevention: a limited swing range of 10 to 40 prevents
airflow from blowing directly onto people.
