EMP Projector Series
Add even more versatility and
professionalism to any presentation
50”, 60”, 80” Portable Screens
Mobile presenters are often uncertain of
the environment in which they must work,
so EPSON has developed a portable screen
for use in conjunction with the whole EMP
range of projectors. The 50-inch screen is a
free-standing bright white soft polyester
film that automatically rolls into a hard
aluminium tube for easy transportation in
its soft carry case.
Visualisers
These high performance, EPSON ELP
Visualiser Products’ are auto focus, zoom
document cameras that enable hard copy or
small products to be projected onto a large
screen.
EPSON ELPDC02
True XGA resolution visualiser with RGB and
Video output, 10x optical zoom, 15 frames
per second image transfer.
Hard and soft carry cases
Optional carry cases make the EMP projector
range even easier to transport, and offer
added protection along the way. Choose
from a smart, black water-resistant soft case
with a cushioned shoulder strap, or a hard
impact-resistant case with built-in castors,
integral combination lock and fold-away
handle.
Optional lenses for extra flexibility
With standard lenses, the further the
projector is from the screen the larger the
image - up to 320". An EPSON Long Throw
zoom lenses, however, enables the projector
to produce a smaller image size when
mounted at a greater distance from the
screen. Wide Angle Zoom and Rear Projection
Wide Angle lenses are also available.
EPSON EMP Projector Warranty
The EPSON EMP range of projectors has
been designed to withstand the rigours of
mobile presenting, offering amazing
strength and durability despite lightweight
construction.
To ensure you continue to enjoy complete
confidence in your EPSON projector, it is
supported by a 2 year collect-repair-return
warranty (1 year for EMP-5350/7250).
If travelling internationally with your
projector, warranty services are available
within Europe for 2 years (1 year for
EMP-5350/7250) and for 1 year in over
47 counties world wide.

world presenting, present in different offices or conference rooms or are building

EPSON E@syMP
With EPSON’s new E@syMP system*,
presenting is so easy that you don’t even
need a computer. Projectors with this
system feature an integral PCMCIA card
reader, which will ‘read’ presentations saved
on memory cards in a range of formats
(including CompactFlash, Smart Media,
MicroDrive, Memory Stick, 3.3V ATA).
Up to five different input sources,
including digital can be connected
simultaneously, switching automatically,
manually or through fully-featured
infrared remote control units.
A range of features - such as the built-in
E@syMarker† marker pen and E@syBoard†
whiteboard - are also available to make
presentations even smoother and more
entertaining.
Product Positioning
*Only available on the EMP 505, 705 and 8150
But perhaps the most impressive feature
of the E@syMP system is that it’s even
possible to establish a wireless link-up
between your projector and a PC network†,
and to download presentations from your
PC, either in advance, or as you present.

Technology to match even your brightest,

EPSON’s superior optics produce exceptional
brightness and image quality. Technologies
include ultra high aperture LCD panels
with Micro Lens Arrays, Panel on Prism,
Polarisation Conversion, high wattage
short arc UHE lamps, and Digital Active
Resizing for flawless VGA, SVGA, XGA,
SXGA and UXGA support.
Additional technologies include
colour temperature range control
and digital keystone adjustment of up to
30º, which corrects the angle, aspect ratio
and shape of the projected image to
ensure a perfect orientation every time.
EMP-8150
Excellent presenting made simple
To ensure maximum ease of use, the EMP
range also includes features such as built
in handles, adjustable feet and clear,
accessible controls and connectors. Many
models also feature simple bayonet lens
connectors for switching lenses quickly, and
you can even stack EPSON EMP-8100 and
EMP-9100 installation projectors together
to produce a single, unified, ultra bright
image.
Keeping you informed and in control
EPSON’s Advanced Auto Set-Up automatically
adjusts settings to ensure ultimate quality
with minimum input, while simple on-screen
menus and backlit remote controls provide
easy access to a wide range of advanced
features. These include software which
enables presentation enhancements to be
made before or during presentations.
Comprehensive Help is always at hand,
and users can even lock menus to
prevent unwanted changes being made.
Advanced Auto Set-Up
EPSON EMP projectors - a sound decision
EMP projectors are extremely quiet when in
operation, but when you want to make a
noise, powerful internal mono or stereo
‘surround sound’ speakers are on hand to
add impact to presentations, while for really
large audiences, the EPSON EMP range may
be connected to an external speaker system.

Complete control and freedom to move
The fully-featured infra-red remote controller
enables users to switch between different input
sources and adjust brightness, colour and sound - up
to 10 metres away from the projector. They can also
run PC or Mac-based presentations without additional
software or become a ‘mouse’, for scrolling through
and selecting from on-screen menu.

UHE Lamps and Polarisation Conversion
The EMP projector’s unrivalled brightness is sourced from
an Ultra High-Efficiency lamp and maintained by EPSON Polarisation
Conversion technology. Light first passes through two lens arrays,
ensuring the entire image is consistently bright, before passing into
the polarisation splitter.
Vertical light waves pass through and are unchanged, but unlike
other systems which eliminate horizontal polarised light waves (thus
reducing overall brightness), the conversion system ‘twists’ them to a
vertical polarisation. This means a greater proportion of the lamp
light is used, achieving optimum brightness.
The UHE lamp is the only consumable item you’ll need for your EMP
projector. Despite its amazing abilities, this small wonder can last up
to 2000 hours, because of it’s low operating temperature and minimal
power consumption - less than half of that of halogen bulbs.
For peace of mind, the lamp life counter in the operating menu
keeps you informed about the amount of time remaining.

High quality bundled software
EPSON ELP Link IV or V software* enables a range of
enhancements or effects such as lines, ellipses, squares
and picture stamps to be programmed into the remote
control, including Stamp Function and Built-in multiple

settings to be controlled from a computer.

A comprehensive range of options
For other specialist requirements EPSON offers a
comprehensive list of options including Zoom,
Long Throw and Wide Angle lenses, Portable and
Installation Screens, Visualisers for projecting hard
copy documents, slides or 3D objects, a range of carry
cases, and a variety of stacking and mounting kits.
EPSON’s latest superior optics also include ultra high aperture metal
sandwich LCD panels and Panel on Prism technology. Using Dichroic
mirrors, which allow one light element to pass through the glass
while reflecting the other elements, light is split into its red, green
and blue constituents.
Then, when the light reaches the LCD panel arrays, the image is
formed and light elements are reconstituted in the prism ready for
projection. To virtually eliminate any element misalignment at
reconstitution, the LCD panels are bonded to the prism surface.

both the installation and high-end portable markets. Featuring the very latest EPSON
technological advances, they are equally at home in classrooms, conference rooms or as a top

ensure portability and efficient use of
space. Underlining EPSON’s position at the
forefront of projector technology, the
flagship EMP-8150 is a 3200 ANSI lumen
XGA projector that can be linked up to a
Network without the aid of a computer.
EPSON E@syMP for stand-alone presenting and wireless network link-up
The EPSON EMP-8150 features the very
latest EPSON E@syMP system - a breakthrough in PC- and cable-free presenting.
In addition to accessing presentations via
the integral PCMCIA card slot, and
additional features such as E@syBoard

for high quality projection up to UXGA.
Digital keystone correction of up to
+/-30º corrects the angle, aspect ratio

its quality. Also, colour temperature
adjustment and lens shift capability
ensure consistent colour and brightness particularly useful when up to three EMP8100 projectors are stacked together.
Preset and No-signal display
Once the set-up menus have been prepared
for a presentation, they can be saved using
the preset function, which recalls the
configuration instantly when they are next
needed. And for a professional look even
during periods between presenting, users
can select from a variety of no signal
screens such as a logo.
Optional lenses
Different installations require different
capabilities, so a range of optional lenses
are available – long throw and extra long
throw zoom lenses, a wide zoom lens and
a rear projection wide angle lens. The
EMP-7700 also features the latest bayonet
