SHARPY
Crystallizing energy into pure light
code C61375
The tiny moving head generating an agile, parallel beam flying
so high in the sky
After revolutionizing the world of show lighting with its “beam concept”, Clay Paky now presents Sharpy, a 189W lamp Beam Moving
Light with an unprecedented brightness that until now has only been
possible with lamps nine times more powerful. Its light beam is in fact
so concentrated and aligned that it looks more like a laser ray.
Sharpy’s secret lies in its highly professional optical group combined
with a cutting-edge Philips Platinum lamp complete with a reflector.
Due to the tiny arc of the source, the light emission is focused on an
incredibly small area, generating an absolutely parallel beam. Sharpy
is ground-breaking for the chromatic purity, sharpness and uniformity
of its halo-free beam. It also offers 14 different colors thanks to ultrapure dichroic filters.
19 gobos allow you to shape the beam for spectacular mid-air effects.
Additionally the electronic focusing system produces sharp-edge pattern projection at any distance.
Last but not least, Sharpy is very small and lightweight: 50 cm x 16 Kg
(19,7 inches x 35 lbs), incredibly powerful for its size and eye-catching
in design. Easy to install and transport, it can be fitted anywhere, on
trusses at live and TV events, on stage, in showrooms or conference
rooms. Sharpy is also eco-friendly with its very low energy consumption.
Winner of the PLASA 2010 Award of Innovation
Sharpy weights 16 Kg (35 lbs) only!
A newly developed beamlight that uses a combination of innovative
engineering and optical technology to achieve a distinctive, bright
high-output from a 190-watt source. In the words of the judges, “we
never thought we’d see a 190-watt light that we could use in Wembley
Arena”.

ALPHA PROFILE 700
The Stage Lighting Epitome
code C61365
Enhanced lumen output for an even beam-field, shaped by
a perfect framing system, generated by a light-weight,
low-consumption, noise-free moving head.
The Alpha Profile 700 is the only 700 watt automated spotlight with
framing system available on the market. The light output of its MiniFast-Fit discharge lamp equals the one of a 1200 watt fixture and
Alpha Profile 700 stands out owing to its excellent optical group with
9°- 55° zoom and a perfectly even projection field. The extraordinary
(patent-pending) Stay-Sharp-Zoom function keeps images in focus
while the zoom runs from one beam angle to another, even when
projected effects are located on different focal planes. Focal distances have been optimised for an effective framing of well focused
patterns, with triangles and quadrangles of all shapes and sizes.
Programming is enormously simplified, thanks to the color-macros
and the Dyna-Cue-Creator function, with its special channel featuring endless sophisticated combinations of editable graphic effects.
Alpha Profile 700 has the full range of devices that are indispensable
for top level professional luminaries. In addition, Alpha Profile 700
has all the features that have earned the Clay Paky 700 series international acclaim: compact, lightweight design, speed, movement
and effects acceleration and even greater brightness than more powerful projectors.
Alpha Profile 700 has been developed with theaters and TV studios
in mind; the decibel rating has been reduced to an astonishing 43
dBA (41 dBA in “half power” mode); the linear CTO system provides
a wide range of color shades, with a perfect simulation of halogen
bulbs in its warm area.
Special commendation at PLASA 2010 Awards of Innovation
Commended for the high level of engineering embodied. Clay Paky
has both improved on their existing technology used in larger fixtures
and scaled it to fit a smaller unit which, in the words of the judges,
“now allows designers to be more creative on a smaller scale”.

SHOTLIGHT WASH
High energy light explosion
The only moving-head luminaire combining stage washing
features with authentic high-power Xenon strobing.
code C61370
Shotlight Wash is a totally new kind of projector that combines an
extraordinary 1500W discharge lamp washlight and a 3000W Xenon
lamp strobe in just one device. The most striking thing about Shotlight is that the two wash/strobe functions are perfectly integrated
and can be controlled with either simultaneous or separate operation and special effects. The control electronics are also unique with
their perfectly integrated design.
Shotlight’s “wash” section works just like an Alpha Wash 1500 moving
head, while the “strobe” function is provided by circular module fitted around the fixture’s front lens and consisting of two semi-circular
Xenon lamps, each 1500W. These two lamps work independently,
i.e. they can flash together or separately, at different frequencies.
Shotlight Wash offers an endless array of spectacular features:
- It is a versatile strobe with daylight color temperature; the flashing
power can be adjusted at any level up to more than 3000 watt, with
a continuous and auto-fade blinder effect and a wide range of other
pre-set special effects.
- The innovative semi-circular shape of the Xenon lamps and their
asynchronous operation allow you to create extra-special stroboscopic effects, while the moving yoke effectively moves and directs the
light emission.
- The powerful Alpha 1500 color engine offers an astonishing chromatic range.
-The strobe and wash sections can be combined to create stunning
and totally innovative colored and motorized strobe effects, that animate set designs with an incredibly sharp blinder effect at adjustable
frequency.
- Shotlight Wash is the most powerful moving-head on the market,
with a power of approximately 4500 W (when all lamps operate together).

HANDS-ON
code C24102
HandsOn transforms a simple computer into a sophisticated
DMX lighting control desk
Clay Paky presents HandsOn: an innovative software lighting control
system that allows you to program and run a medium-sized lighting
rig using your PC. HandsOn transforms your screen into an intuitive direct access control interface for any DMX 512 fixture, including
lights with conventional lamps or LEDs, dimmers, lasers, smoke
machines, and any other effect. HandsOn consists of a sophisticated software and a revolutionary interface that looks just like a small
connector.
DYNA-CUE-CREATOR
A magic tool exploiting the artistic power of your luminaire
Alpha 1500s abound in powerful spectacular devices. For this reason, they can be complex machines to use. However, Clay Paky has created
a tool to make the user’s work easier: the “Dyna-Cue-Creator” function. The “macro” channel in other spotlights contains a selection of static
projections, but in the Alpha 1500s it is a library of dynamic - often three-dimensional - animations that lighting designers may use in their
shows almost automatically. The “Dyna-Cue-Creator” is the result of meticulous artistic research: the zoom, focus, iris and dimmer functions
are combined and synchronized with each other in many different ways that may be customized by lighting designers (with colors, gobos,
speed and other effects). The “Dyna-Cue-Creator” is easy to use owing to the autofocus extremely rapid and constant adjustments; lighting
designers no longer have to program continuous focus corrections with benefits that are particularly evident in the most complex cues, where
the gobo, focus plane and zoom angles change simultaneously.
These macros can be used with individual projectors or a series of projectors. In automatic mode, the “random” option makes more than
one projector use the same macro in a synchronized way. You do not have to manage phase shifts because synchronization is controlled
automatically by the projector and not from the console. The only decision you have to make is whether to apply the macros to one projector
or a group of projectors.
Example of dynamic cues generated by Dyna-Cue-Creator.
