Power retractable door mirrors with ground lighting
Touch a button to fold mirrors parallel to the car body – a
practical feature when parking in really tight places. Ground
lighting is activated via the remote control to enhance security
when entering or exiting your car in the dark. It’s also
convenient when getting in and out of your vehicle.
To ensure you and your passengers are not exposed to harmful emissions or

When the top is down, the wind blocker effectively reduces drafts

Front and rear park assist
Rear park assist helps make it safer and easier to reverse into
tight spaces. A pulsating tone in the cabin rises to a steady
signal when an object is about 1 ft behind your rear bumper.
Similarly, front park assist alerts you as you approach an
object in front of your car. The sensors are integrated in the
bumpers and are color-coordinated.

Active subwoofer
If you like to feel the bass of your music through your body,
the subwoofer with built-in 140 W amplifier provides superb
reproduction of the deep register at all volumes. It’s secured
under the boot floor and can be switched off from the menu
in the center stack. Only available for the High Performance
audio system.

This automatically recognizes your Bluetooth® compatible mobile
phone as you enter the car and seamlessly takes over, allowing you to
switch freely from the mobile phone to the handsfree system. Just
touch the blue button and Bluetooth® handsfree system will listen to
your command and make calls for you. The system’s sound quality
with noise reduction optimises comunication for all parties.

discs in sequence, choose a disc and track independently,
or allow the player to select at random – all conveniently

Volvo’s Portable Navigation System
This portable and powerful Garmin nüvi® 760
navigation unit integrates smoothly with the
design of your Volvo. Just fit it into the docking
unit on top of the dashboard. The wide bright
touch screen is conveniently positioned in your
field of vision. It allows you to navigate with ease,
plan your route and find your points of interest.
And beyond navigation, there are travel and
entertainment functions such as Bluetooth®
handsfree, MP3 player, currency converter,
calculator and FM transmitter. The navigation
unit is easy to carry with you and can also be
used outside the car. Maps covering major parts
of the US and Canada are stored in memory.

Volvo Ingegrated Navigation System (VNS)
Volvo’s GPS-based Volvo Ingegrated Navigation
System is totally integrated with your Volvo.
Audible guidance and detailed maps help you
find the fastest route to your destination. Via
TMC (Traffic Message Channel) radio data
broadcasts VNS also lets you know if there’s
weather-related trouble on route and recommends
an alternative. The VNS is easily controlled from
the steering wheel or optional remote, and the
screen is positioned so you can keep your
attention on traffic. When not in use, the screen
retracts into the dash. All the map information is
aquired from multiple DVDs or a hard disk drive
(HDD) on certain models.

Park assist camera
The park assist camera is discretely mounted in the
trunk or tailgate to increase your field of vision behind
the car. The navigation screen is used to show the
driver the view that’s beneath the rear window and
behind the car. By including the edge of the bumper
and the tow bar if one is fitted, the camera enables
the driver to park or align the car with a trailer with
great precision. The image on the screen also
includes guidelines to show the vehicle’s path and
the system activates and deactivates together with
the reverse gear.

Single screen RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment) system
To entertain rear passengers, the 8-inch wide-screen display
folds down from the ceiling at the touch of a button. Wireless
IR headphones allow passengers to hear the DVD soundtrack,
listen to a CD and connect a video camera or a game console
without disturbing others. The system is easy to handle via a
separate remote control. The screen automatically retracts
when the vehicle reverses.

Rear Seat Entertainment System with Dual DVD Players
With Volvo RSE dual screen, the rear seat passengers can watch a DVD film or play
a game – together or separately. Two 7-inch wide-screen displays with DVD players are
integrated in the front seat head restraints. Cordless headphones let you listen to the music
or program of your choice. Sound is also provided through the vehicle’s rear loudspeakers
or – using the rear headphone connectors – any wired headphones. The DVD player and
AUX socket for devices such as game consoles are easy to reach from the rear seat.
