Connecting to AirUC-Secure with Windows 7 | Manualzz

Configuring Windows 7

1. Click the Start button located in your taskbar

2. Select Control Panel from the list of menu options

3. Once inside the Control Panel, open the Network and Sharing Centre

4. Click on the Manage wireless networks link located in the left menu.

5. Click on the Add tab

6. Click on Manually Create a Network Profile

7. Enter the following information in the designated fields:

Network Name: airuc-secure

Security Type: WPA2-Enterprise

Encryption type: AES

8. Click Next

9. Select Change Connection Settings

10. Select the Security tab and verify the Network Authentication Method is set to PEAP, then click on Settings.

11. Ensure Select Authentication Method is set to EAP-MSCHAPv2 and click Configure.

12. Uncheck this box if you do not use your IT Username to log onto your computer and click OK

13. From the Security tab, click Advance Settings

14. Ensure the Specify Authentication Mode is set to User Authentication and click OK on all windows.

15. Click once on the wireless network symbol in the task bar at the bottom right corner of your screen.

16. From the list of available wireless networks, select airuc-secure and click Connect

17. Enter your IT Username and Password in the fields provided and click OK

18. This will start the login process. If your computer has never connected to the secure U of C wireless service, you will be required to accept a certificate. The following window will pop up as an alert:

20. Click on the Details icon to verify that the radius server is from ucalgary.ca. Next, click Connect.

Congratulations! You should now be connected to AirUC-Secure. Kindly direct further questions or concerns to [email protected]
