Description of the product
The +ALARM series alarm system is ideal for defending medium/small areas, such as apartments and residential and
commercial buildings in general. Thanks to the use of advanced technologies +ALARM is safe, easy to install and does
not require costly structural works. The control unit has a liquid crystal display and a touch screen numeric keyboard
which allows you to control and monitor the entire system. The central unit of the +ALARM GSM system (this function
is not available in the +ALARM PSTN system), enables a complete management of the system even remotely. Once
charged the system’s integrated battery guarantees the functioning of the system even in the event of power
shortages.
The central unit allows you to connect a maximum of up to 38 different external sensors. This also includes an
integrated dialling pad that can send pre-recorded messages. The alarm unit allows you to send pre-recorded alarm
messages to 6 pre-loaded telephone numbers one after the other.
For the KIT +ALARM GSM only a text message will be sent to pre-loaded numbers if there is no answer.
The system is able to automatically recognise sensors, thus allowing a quick and precise connection of accessories to
the central unit. The system distinguishes between movement and doors/window opening sensors enabling the
management of only the perimeter, which is a useful function in the case of use at night. (HOME MODE)
1.3
Precautions before installing
KIT +ALARM GSM
•
Purchase a telephone SIM card and ensure this has credit before beginning any
procedure.
•
Check that the GSM telephone signal is sufficient in the area in which you intend to install the
alarm unit.
•
Do not install externally or in locations that are exposed to the rain/elements or which are directly
exposed to sunlight.
•
Make sure the telephone card is not PIN protected.
KIT +ALARM PSTN (landline).
•
Check that the landline has a signal (to do this you simply require a telephone).
•
Do not install infrared movement sensors (PIR), in locations near sources of heat such as ovens,
microwaves, refrigerators, air conditioning units, power panels or other household appliances or
electrical systems.
•
Choose a discrete location to avoid tampering in the event of intrusion.

Connect the telephone cable to the unit
Open the rear hatch of the alarm unit.
Insert the rechargeable NI-MH batteries that were provided.
Connect the adapter to the central unit and then to the electrical socket.
The unit only works with Rechargeable batteries 4x NI-MH AAA Batteries any other type of
battery may compromise the functioning of the alarm system. NEVER use batteries other than the
ones specified or which are not rechargeable as this may seriously compromise the functioning of
the unit and create serious electrical safety problems.
The red LED light to the side of the display of the central unit will flash.
Complete the installation by hanging up the central unit in the chosen location.

internal siren. Both the alarm unit and the siren will make a sound and the siren will flash. Wait for the
connection procedure to be completed – when the wording “LEARN” disappears from the display of the central
unit. (This will take about 30 seconds).
The siren will make two brief distinct sounds.
Close the hatch and hang up the siren in a visible place.
Magnetic sensors for doors and windows
Remove the plastic protection from the batteries.
To connect the doors and window sensor to the central unit press the button “CODE” on the alarm unit
and the display will visualise the wording “LEARN”. Now move the magnet from the sensor by more than 10
mm and a sound will be made by the alarm unit. Wait for the connection procedure to be completed – when
the wording “LEARN” disappears from the display of the central unit. (This will take about 30 seconds).
At the end of the connection procedure the central unit will make two brief distinct sounds.
Attach the magnetic sensor on the side of the window or door which you want to protect by using the adhesive
strip provided.
Align the magnet with the sensor and fix it to the door or window while ensuring that the distance between the
two items is not more than 10 mm.
The magnetic sensor for doors and windows has two function modes.
Connected with the alarm unit. Move the switch to the side of the sensor to “RF”. In this case
the sensor will activate the alarm and signal any break-in to the central unit which, if
engaged, will activate the siren and the dialling pad and call the pre-loaded numbers.
Connected with the alarm unit + independent alarm. Move the switch on the side of the
sensor to “RF+ALLARM”. In this case the sensor will activate the alarm and signal and breakin to the central unit which, if engaged, will activate the siren and the dialling pad and call
the pre-loaded numbers while at the same time making an independent alarm sound. If you
want to protect a door or window independently without the intervention of the central unit,
put the switch to the side of the sensor on RF+ALLARM and keep the alarm unit
DISENGAGED.
Infrared movement sensors
Remove the rear hatch of the batteries compartment.
Insert 3 AAA batteries
Close the batteries compartment.

limit its functioning.
Install at a height of between 1 and 3 metres.
Do not install near sources of heat, or in areas subjected to frequent sudden
changes in temperature (windows). In the assembly phase you should consider
that the range of the sensor is about 110° horizontally and 70° vertically. Up to
a maximum of 7 metres. We recommend installing the sensor so that it is
pointing slightly downwards.

•
If the LED on the infrared movement sensor (PIR) turns yellow you will need to replace the batteries of the
movement sensor.
If the LED of the external siren flashes every 5 seconds you will need to replace the siren’s battery.
Only use alkaline batteries
In the central unit of the KIT +ALARM PSTN (landline), only use RECHARGEABLE
(NI-MH) batteries. The alarm unit only works with Rechargeable 4x NI-MH AAA
Batteries. Any other type of battery may compromise the alarm system. NEVER
use batteries others than those specified and which are not rechargeable, as this
may seriously compromise the functioning of the alarm unit and create serious
electrical safety problems.
NEVER use Alkaline batteries.
The alarm unit is not able to monitor the life of the batteries contained in the external
sensors.
We recommend replacing the batteries every 8/10 months to ensure the perfect efficiency
of the alarm system.
In any case please refer to the battery instructions to establish the best conditions of use.
Temperatures that are too high or too low will affect the performance of the batteries.
Check the battery instructions to guarantee that the system functions correctly.
