The UltraRAE is a quick, spot-check monitor typically used by occupational health, safety, and environmental personnel. The combination filter tube and Photoionization Detector (PID) removes the disadvantages associated with colorimetric tubes and gas chromatographs. The UltraRAE has the advantage of providing a fast, continuous reading and datalogging of concentrations of

Benzene, Methylene Chloride, or Butadiene. Applications include tank entry pre-screening during refinery and plant maintenance, hazardous material response, marine spill response, and refinery down-stream monitoring.

The ppbRAE 3000 is the most advanced handheld volatile organic compound (VOC) on the market.

Its Photoionization Detector’s (PID) extended range of 1 ppb to 10,000 ppm makes it an ideal instrument for applications from HazMat/Homeland Security, industrial hygiene, to Indoor Air Quality and military applications.

The RF modem allows real-time data transmissions with a base controller located up to 500 feet

MultiRae Plus by RAE Systems

The MultiRAE Plus combines a PID (Photoionization Detector) with the standard four gases of a confined space monitor (O

, LEL, and two toxic gas sensors) in one compact monitor with sampling pump. Like the Leatherman TM tool, the MultiRAE Plus gets the job done in more circumstances than any other gas detector.

With more than 10,000 units in the field today, its versatility makes it the gas meter of choice for some of the highest profile HazMat/WMD teams in the United States. The MultiRAE Plus is quickly and easily changed from a sophisticated technician instrument to a simple text-only monitor. VRAE by RAE Systems

VRAE is a hand held one-to-five gas monitor with built-in sampling pump and optional data logging. Beacon 110 Model RKI Instruments

The Beacon 110 is a powerful, low cost fixed system controller for one point of gas detection. It is microprocessor controlled, versatile, simple to install and operate, and priced to be the industry’s best value single gas detection controller. It is capable of accepting RKI sensors directly for LEL level combustibles, Oxygen, Hydrogen Sulfide, or Carbon Monoxide. The Beacon 110 can also accept any 4-20 mA transmitter (2 or 3 wire, 24 VDC). Sensors can be mounted directly at the

Beacon 110 housing, or can be wired remote from the controller.

The Beacon 110 is also housed in a NEMA 4X rated case for a weather tight seal. This case design complies with lock out / tag out standards and can be fully secured. An external reset switch allows the alarm to be silenced from outside of the controller housing. The Beacon 110 ships complete with a wall mounting kit for easy installation.

Beacon 110 Model

M2™ RKI Instruments

The RKI M2™ is a state-of-the-art transmitter that can operate as an independent, stand-alone system or as part of a system connected with an analog or digital signal to virtually any controller, PLC, or DCS. The M2 series detects LEL combustibles, oxygen, hydrogen sulfide, or carbon monoxide. It utilizes a magnetic wand technique for performing non-intrusive calibration. The M2 provides an automatic zero drift correction feature, which results in more stable readings and reduces the need for adjustments due to sensor aging.

The M2 housing does not need to be opened for zeroing or calibration, making it unnecessary to declassify the area for routine maintenance. Internal push-buttons can also be used if the housing is opened. It is designed so that a complete field calibration can be performed by one person.

The stainless steel flame arrestor that covers the sensor (LEL, H2S, CO, or XP Oxygen) is water repellent with a special patented water resistant coating.

Personal Monitor

Personal 4-in-1 gas monitor by RKI Instruments

The GX-2003s large LCD display shows all gas readings, battery level, current time, and will automatically backlight in alarm conditions. This unit also has a special bar hole mode to facilitate locating underground gas leaks. A high sensitivity leak check mode is also included, and provides ppm level detection of gas leaks. A special variable frequency alarm helps to pinpoint the leak without looking at the instrument display. Other standard mode alarm types include vibration, visual, and audible alarms that can be set to latching or non-latching. Controlled by a microprocessor, the GX-2003 continuously checks itself for sensor connections, low battery, circuit trouble, low flow, and calibration errors. The GX-2003 can interchangeably operate on either a Ni-MH battery pack or 3 AA alkaline batteries. The batteries are simple to replace requiring no tools to access the battery compartment. The Ni-MH battery pack can receive a charge directly within the instrument or separately, allowing the unit to remain in service.

This rugged Heron Skinny dipper unit is intended for use in narrow tubes and piezometers. The tape on the skinny dipper is a narrow 0.24 inch x 0.133 inch (6.2 mm x 3.4 mm). The probe is

0.25 inch (6.25mm) diameter stainless steel. This thin section enables the skinny dipper to be used in tubes as narrow as 0.375 inch (9.5mm) internal diameter.

The little dipper is a small low cost water level meter with all the quality features of the larger units. The Passive Skimmer utilizes the F.A.P. Plus™ skimmer to provide a 36 in floating intake for the recovery of free phase products such as gasoline, diesel and jet fuel. It is used when minimal product is present or slow recovery rates are expected. For passive recovery of products with higher than 80 SSU, the 4 in high viscosity skimmer (TR-25410) is used. This system provides a floating intake of 30 inches.

The clear PVC collection canister uses a quick connect fitting to attach it to the skimmer and provides venting through the skimmer support hollow rod. The bottom of the canister incorporates a petcock for easy draining. The petcock assembly can be removed allowing an extension canister to be threaded into the existing canister to increase the volume of free product that can be recovered. Additional weights are included with each canister and must be used for proper installation.

SoakEase™ is a product-selective absorbent sock housed inside a stainless steel canister. It is used as a passive collection system for free phase product such as jet fuel, gasoline or diesel fuel from 1.25 in and larger recovery wells, monitoring wells and recovery trenches. The SoakEase™ can be used as a bailer for periodic product removal or as a dedicated system for a more continuous method of recovery. Prior to dedicating the SoakEase™, it is recommended that excess free product be removed by bailing with the SoakEase™.

To use SoakEase™ as a bailer, an absorbent sock is placed in the stainless steel canister; a cord is attached to the support loop and then lowered through the product layer. The full length of the sock should come into contact with the product for greater recovery. Immediately, the

SoakEase™ will begin absorbing product at a rate of approximately 0.1 gallon per second, depending on the product viscosity. After some time, the SoakEase™ should be raised from the well; the sock removed from the canister and disposed of in accordance with regulations.

The pneumatic Mini Bladder Pumps are designed to obtain a representative ground water sample with the assistance of a controller to provide variable flow rates. The controller allows the user to match the pumping rate to the well recharge rate, limiting the stress on the formation. With the small volume per cycle, the fluid velocity at the pump inlet is substantially reduced, making the pumps ideal for low flow sampling. The 1.66 in diameter pump will produce flow rates up to 2 gpm. The bottom inlet of the pump is positioned at the desired sampling point, generally at the mid section of the well screen. The inner Teflon ® bladder will fill with fluid based on the submergence of the pump. The annular space is pressurized using the controller and the liquid is gently lifted to surface. All pumps can be supplied contaminant free.

Dedicated assemblies can be supplied to reduce cross contamination, well disturbance and facilitate installation. The pump, tubing and well cap assemblies are plastic bagged and each assembly is identified with your well ID number and the well depth.

Peristaltic Pumps are designed for single and multi-stage pressure or vacuum pumping of liquids for the field or laboratory. Dräger CMS Analyzer

Accurate gas measurements are made easier with the Dräger CMS. This new generation spotcheck detection device is literally as easy as 1-2-3 to operate. Simply insert one of the 55 chemical specific Dräger-CMS-Chips into the Analyzer and follow the instructions on the display as to when to move the slide switch. TWA levels are typically analyzed in 1-2 minutes. Upon completion of this process, the concentration is indicated on the LCD display.

CMS does not require gas calibration. All measurement and calibration information is stored on a bar code on the CMS Chip. An electronics and leak check is performed before each measurement so you are assured of accurate indications every time. Operating on 4 “AA” cells, the CMS will deliver about 100 measurements per battery change. Popular applications include TWA screening, confined space entry, and emergency response.

SampleRAE is a hand-held, battery powered, programmable automatic sampling pump. It is used with gas detection tubes (colorimetric tubes) and sorbent tubes. The user can easily program the sampling volume required for each tube type. For example, some tubes require 1 pump stroke

(100cc) with a piston hand pump.

With SampleRAE you simply enter 100cc, press the start key and the pump will automatically take the sample for you. A built in flow sensor measures the exact amount of sample volume and shuts off the pump. SampleRAE is ideal for situations where multiple samples with detection tubes are required.

Rite in the Rain all-weather writing paper is a patented substrate created for use in outdoor writing situations. Since this paper is designed for use in extreme conditions it is manufactured with the most durable yet recyclable components available. Recycled content pulp, as a result of the repulping & reprocessing involved in recycling, produces a “weaker” substrate due to the shortened fibers. This inherent weakness reduces the field-durability of paper and as such is not used in the manufacture of Rite in the Rain paper. It is one of the rare instances where virgin fiber adds significantly to the end-product function. Papers designed for “office or indoor” uses do not require this strength and as such can contain recycled fiber. This all being said, the wood fibers we utilize for Rite in the Rain are purchased from FSC Certified sources. By doing this it insures our product is manufactured with high environmental and social standards and practices.
