More than three decades ago, EAW opened its doors with a singular mission: to transform loudspeaker design for sound reinforcement with the creation of products presenting truly unique, meaningful and useful solutions to the problems that audio professionals face on a daily basis. From the debut of the KF850 that quickly established a new paradigm for touring loudspeakers, to the development of revolutionary EAW Focusing, we continue to tirelessly push the technological envelop with the overriding goal of improving the way people hear sound. Many of EAW's products are designed and manufactured in the United States at our expanded manufacturing and assembly facility in Whitinsville, MA. The ultimate goal is to produce superior products while providing the customization customers need for specific applications – all within reasonable timeframes. This is where our mission began more than 30 years ago, and further demonstrates an unrelenting commitment to the very highest quality standards that we continue to have today.

Technology alone, however, is not enough. Customer expectations must not only be met, but exceeded whether it’s a new loudspeaker design, hardware flexibility, processing technology, or the vital but often overlooked aspects such as meeting demanding project timelines, delivery schedules, and exhaustive technical and design support.

The AX Series features Concentric Summation Array™ technology for highly coherent sound — both on and off axis. The LF subsystem has an acoustic origin along the axis of the coaxial MF/HF components, creating a true uni-axial design. All AX enclosures are identically sized, dual trapezoids. The MF/HF horns and the enclosures are symmetrical and thus rotatable to create horizontally or vertically orientated arrays. Internal passive crossovers are designed to work with a digital signal processor (DSP) to minimize power losses and provide more sophisticated processing to maximize performance. The CLA37 is especially suited for small to mid-sized spaces with excessive reverberation or problematic sound reflections. The Avalon Series was born from collaboration between top DJs, club sound professionals, and EAW’s engineering team. The result was a system that addresses the demanding needs of reproducing ultra-high and low frequencies associated with club music while taking into consideration the balance of subsystems within the loudspeaker system. The Avalon Series offers products with double the number of woofers per system to deliver the driving beat dance music demands. Horn designs and enclosures are tailored to allow maximum height while providing even coverage directly down onto a dance floor. DSA™ Series self-powered, permanent installation column loudspeakers use advanced DSP to deliver useradjustable coverage. The DX1208 is a 12-input, 8-output DSP matrix mixer designed for commercial and install applications.

Eight inputs are mic/line capable, with selectable 48-volt phantom power provided when the user selects mic level. Four additional inputs on unbalanced RCA connectors allow the user to “stack” inputs, increasing the number of audio sources that can be connected. An additional four digital inputs are available on S/PDIF with sample rate conversion. All 12 inputs are included in the audio matrix and can be assigned DSP functions prior to distributing signal at the line level.

The portable, full-range loudspeakers are optimized for use with the FR250z subwoofer, which also serves as a pole mount base. The KF850 Series is the world touring standard, accepted in more technical riders than any other loudspeaker.

True 3-way design dramatically improves the quality of vocal reproduction, while the cone-driven midrange horn and horn-loaded woofer extend pattern control to the lowest octaves. Introduced over fifteen years ago, the KF850 set the standard for flat response “out of the box”. To this day, it is extremely effective for any large format portable or installed application.

The KF760 Series large-format line array system is suitable for portable or permanent installation applications.

It is comprised of the KF760 long-throw module and the KF761 near-field module. Both loudspeakers use advanced divergence shading to provide uniform sound coverage from directly beneath the array out to hundreds of feet, without complex signal processing. EAW engineers combined a number of design innovations to produce a continuous, coherent wavefront that projects extended range, high-resolution sound over the full coverage area.

This high-output system is scalable from venues of under 1,000 seats to stadiums and outdoor events.

EAW subwoofers are legendary the world over for their extended low frequency response and high-impact

“punch”. They provide massive output yet are extremely musical, due in large part to rigid Baltic birch enclosures and advanced transducer designs. VR Series loudspeakers provide exceptional fidelity for foreground music applications, and are suitable as main loudspeakers or as a fill/delay elements in larger systems. Their large format HF horn maintains directivity throughout its passband. The crossover point is selected to match the horns directivity to that of the woofer, creating a seamless, consistent beamwidth, ensuring even coverage throughout the listening area. The rugged enclosures are available in both black and white finishes. They include a number of threaded points for use with forged shoulder eyebolts or a user-supplied mounting bracket. The powder coated steel grille is foam-backed, providing physical protection for the drivers as well as hiding them from view. Diverse uses for the VR Series include: houses of worship, theatres, performing arts centers, theme parks, transportation facilities, and fill/delay applications.

KF850z SERIES

KF850 Series loudspeakers are the world touring standard, accepted in more technical riders than any other loudspeaker. The “z” version updates the classic products using the latest in EAW transducer technology. New drivers and EAW’s patented MF Radial Phase Plug™ combine to noticeably improve the temporal response of the KF850z, resulting in a sweeter-sounding system with even greater impact than before. The KF850zF includes 19-position fly track, while the KF850zR omits the fly track for applications where flown loudspeakers are not required. The SB850zR is a portable subwoofer which shares the footprint of the full range systems. Each are ideal as a main reinforcement system for outdoor festivals, theatres, clubs, side fill / drum fill monitoring, and as a side fill element in KF760 systems.

The KF760 Series is comprised of the KF760 long-throw module and the KF761 near-field module. Both loudspeakers use advanced divergence shading to provide uniform sound coverage from directly beneath the array out to hundreds of feet without complex signal processing. Vertical coverage for the array is set by varying the rear splay of the enclosures, leaving the fronts tight-packed. This configuration produces a continuous, coherent wavefront from the array, projecting extended range, high-resolution sound over its full coverage area. The KF730 Series is comprised of the KF730 and KF737 full range line array loudspeakers and the SB730 subwoofer.

AX SERIES

The AX Series features Concentric Summation Array™ technology for highly coherent sound, both on and off axis. The LF subsystem has an acoustic origin along the axis of the coaxial MF/HF components, creating a true uni-axial design. All AX enclosures are identically sized, dual trapezoids. The MF/HF horns and the enclosures are symmetrical and thus rotatable to create horizontally or vertically orientated arrays. Internal passive crossovers are designed to work with a digital signal processor (DSP) to minimize power losses and provide more sophisticated processing to maximize performance. The companion AX122 subwoofer is designed to extend the low frequency response of AX loudspeakers.

The SBK subwoofers have been designed with two purposes in mind; to provide a companion sub arrayable with the

MK line of full range installation loudspeakers and as a standalone sub in any installed system. Premium components and optimally tuned ports match the performance expected of EAW’s SB line of direct radiating subwoofers. The SBK line includes a variety of forms of subwoofer providing a designer with selections that can be specifically matched to their application. The design of the enclosures are based on the dimensions of the MK2300 and MK5300 loudspeakers giving a homogenous appearance when arrayed together. Multiple 3/8 inch mounting points allow for flexibility when installing subs in standalone applications. With the unit mounted at the designated position on a wall, the installer then just “clips” the loudspeakers onto the Clip-Fit arm, and in this one motion, the loudspeaker is mounted, the audio connection is terminated, and the loudspeaker is live.

VFR SERIES

The VFR, two-way, full range loudspeakers combine a hybrid of portable and install features that provide audio professionals with unheard of versatility. Compact and powerful, the VFR loudspeakers are part of EAW’s VF Series which includes a line of subwoofers (VFS). Traditional portable features such as handles, pole cup and parallel NL4 connectors are seamlessly blended into the enclosure design. Standard installation features such as barrier strip inputs and OmniMount mounting points are subtly incorporated into the design.

Each VFR features high frequency and low frequency transducers that were carefully selected to build upon the reputation of quality that EAW’s portable products are known for. A passive crossover with switchable filter sets between horns is utilized on the VFR129 and VFR159. Each cabinet features large, square, rotatable horns that provide outstanding pattern control. The horns in the VFR159 and VFR129 can be field replaced from standard 90° × 60° to

60° × 45° for even greater directivity. An optional transformer for constant voltage systems is also available.

The companion subs to the VF family, the VFS has been designed to integrate with the full range of VFR products in every way in an array or as a standalone sub. Two size selections can be matched to applications utilizing top quality transducers in direct radiating vented enclosures optimally tuned to match the VF product line. The VFS seamlessly combines features desirable in both portable and permanently installed systems. The size and shape of the subs have been matched to the dimensions of VFR products while maintaining a low profile for use in installations. VFS offer pole mount cups for use as pole bases for portable systems while maintaining appropriate rigging options for permanent instillations. Handles have been blended into the lines of the subwoofer providing a clean look and unique way of handling the sub with surprising ease. When used with an optional Flybar two full range VFR loudspeakers can be mounted one to either side of a VFS using pre configured and optimized splay angles. VR SERIES

VR Series loudspeakers provide exceptional fidelity for foreground music applications, and are suitable as main loudspeakers or as a fill/delay elements in larger systems. Their large format HF horn maintains directivity throughout its passband. The crossover point is selected to match the horns directivity to that of the woofer, creating a seamless, consistent beamwidth, ensuring even coverage throughout the listening area. VFR SERIES

The VFR, two-way, full range loudspeakers combine a hybrid of portable and install features that provide audio professionals with unheard of versatility. Compact and powerful, the VFR loudspeakers are part of EAW’s VF Series which includes a line of subwoofers (VFS). Traditional portable features such as handles, pole cup and parallel NL4 connectors are seamlessly blended into the enclosure design. Standard installation features such as barrier strip inputs and

OmniMount mounting points are subtly incorporated into the design.

Each VFR features high frequency and low frequency transducers that were carefully selected to build upon the reputation of quality that EAW’s portable products are known for. A passive crossover with switchable filter sets between horns is utilized on the VFR129 and VFR159. Each cabinet features large, square, rotatable horns that provide outstanding pattern control. The horns in the VFR159 and VFR129 can be field replaced from standard 90° × 60° to 60° × 45° for even greater directivity. An optional transformer for constant voltage systems is also available.

The VFS subwoofers are high output, low profile subwoofers that combine a hybrid of portable and install features to provide audio professionals with endless design flexibility. Intended as companion, arrayable subwoofers to the

VF family of loudspeakers, they also work well as standalone subwoofers in a variety of installation applications. VFS products utilize top quality transducers in direct radiating vented enclosures and are optimally tuned to match the VF product line. In addition, the size and shape of the enclosures closed match the VF Series ensuring an attractive system package when used together. When used with an optional Flybar two full range VFR loudspeakers can be mounted one to either side of a VFS using pre configured and optimized splay angles. An optional flybar provides single or double pick points with pull back for a total array package. An additional optional stinger provides selectable tilt to an array from a single pick point.

MicroWedge offers coaxial driver arrangement that pairs an 12 or 15–inch woofer with a 3–inch diaphragm HF compression driver on a horn. This design path guarantees that all frequencies emanate from the exact same point, eliminating crossover region problems and time/phase irregularities, as well as optimizing coherency. The coaxial approach also contributes to a very compact, low-profile footprint that stays out of sight-and camera-lines, but attained without sacrificing fidelity and high output levels.

The VRM12 is engineered for superior performance as a floor monitor, and as a stand-mounted portable PA speaker.

The low-profile, dual-angle enclosure houses a 12-inch coaxial driver that cuts through stage volume with high output capability. Coherent point-source reproduction helps deliver crisp speech for meetings and presentations, while the

12-inch LF driver delivers full range musical sound. The cross-ply laminated birch enclosure includes loop-thru Neutrik

Speakon NL4 jacks on either side to minimize cable runs and clutter on stage. Rubber feet stabilize the enclosure on the floor. A pole-mount cup and integral handle are included for stand-mounting and transport. The VRM12 is available in either black or white finish. A foam-backed powder-coated steel grill protects the driver.

EAW digital processors offer the versatility and control that system designers require. The all purpose UX8800 offers

EAW’s proprietary Focused settings which optimize and upgrade the audio performance of EAW systems – ideal for all audio applications. The DX1208 is tailored specifically for commercial and installation use.

Both units both offer an incredible feature set including parametric EQ, smooth limiting, digital audio inputs and flexible routing. Free software is available for each, offering real-time monitoring of channel levels and both online and offline setup. The UX8800 also provides front-panel access to all critical features.

DX1208

The DX1208 is a 12-input, 8-output DSP matrix mixer designed for commercial and install applications. Eight inputs are mic/line capable, with selectable 48-volt phantom power provided when the user selects mic level. Four additional inputs on unbalanced RCA connectors allow the user to “stack” inputs, increasing the number of audio sources that can be connected. An additional four digital inputs are available on S/PDIF with sample rate conversion. All 12 inputs are included in the audio matrix and can be assigned DSP functions prior to distributing signal at the line level.

The DX1208 can also receive up to 6 logic inputs and send up to 3 logic outputs, combined on a single 18-pin connector and programmable via the included DX Navigator control software. Control of the DX1208 via third party systems (i.e., AMX and Crestron) is attained with a serial connection (DB9) on the rear panel. Two RJ-45 connections are provided as well for linking multiple (up to 8) DX Link enabled products together in a ring topology network.

The DX1208 is supplied with DX Navigator control software that allows access to all of the system’s settings and configurations. The expected range of user-adjustable processing such as EQ filters, gates, compressors/limiters, priority assignment, delay, gain, and crossovers are included. In addition, up to 24 programmable presets are available per DX1208; the programming interface is flexible, with connection via the USB port on the front panel or the Ethernet jack or DB9 connector on the rear panel. The DX1208 employs a universal power supply, 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz.

The UX8800 is a 4-input, 8-output digital signal processor that operates in either of two modes. In System Processor mode, it functions as a state-of-the art, user-controlled, digital signal processor for loudspeakers or for other applications requiring similar processing functions. In Loudspeaker Processor mode, it provides preset, EAWengineered processing parameters for specific loudspeakers and arrays including crossovers, EAW Focusing™ equalization, limiting, and other settings that are an integral part of that loudspeaker’s design and operation. The user retains control of gain, input EQ, signal delay, and polarity for each loudspeaker. EAWPilot software provides remote computer control and multiple unit networking.

Loudspeakers - 6 years; Weather Protected (WP) Loudspeakers - 5 years; Active Electronics - 2 years; Accessories - 2 years. EAW Commercial (EAWC) warrants its products for these periods starting from the date of delivery to the owner from an Authorized EAW Dealer or Authorized EAW Distributor: Loudspeakers - 5 years; Active Electronics - 5 years; Accessories - 2 years. All dates are from the date of delivery from an Authorized EAW Dealer or Distributor to the end-user/installation site.

WHAT IS CoVERED: During the applicable warranty period, EAW warrants the product against defects in workmanship and materials and against malfunctions. EAW will remedy all such defects and malfunctions without charge for parts or labor if the warranty applies. Final determination of warranty coverage lies solely with EAW.

WHAT IS NoT CoVERED: This warranty does not extend to damage or malfunctions resulting from, but not limited to, shipment, improper installation, misuse, neglect, abuse, normal wear, accident, or to any product on which the serial number has been modified or removed. Exterior defects in or damage to the exterior appearance are specifically excluded from this warranty.

EAW shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use of this product. Repairs and/or modifications by other than EAW or an Authorized EAW Distributor automatically voids this warranty.

YoUR WARRANTY RIGHTS: This warranty is exclusive and no other warranty is expressed or implied. You have specific legal rights under this warranty. You may have additional rights that are specific for your region. Additionally, the applicability of certain provisions of this warranty may vary for your region. In no event shall this warranty affect your statutory rights. Contact EAW, your local EAW Distributor, or EAW Dealer for any additional information.
