Omniprise ERP Overview
Omniprise ERP software is unlike any other enterprise resource planning package
on the market today. By combining cutting edge technology and the power of the
internet, Omniprise offers simple solutions via a fully integrated, web-based ERP suite.
Omniprise system modules integrated data and software applications for Financial Resource Management
(FRM), Human Resources Management (HRM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Material
Resource Planning (MRP), Corporate Performance and more. Modules are interchangeable components
of Omniprise that allow clients to utilize as much (or as little) of the system as needed. Each module of
Omniprise is capable of running seamlessly in conjunction with every other module or as a stand-alone module.
Omniprise combines tools, reports and functionality into a powerful workbench specific to each business area.

Viewing the Monthly Calendar
Omniprise Calendars manages company and employee calendars in one central location. The Month View
defaults to the current month upon page load and highlights the current day. Omniprise supports unlimited
calendars. Users may activate or deactivate each calendar from the Month View page according to personal
preferences by using the check boxes in the "Displayed Calendar" section. Calendar display settings are
automatically saved and will save the selected display each time the page is visited. All calendar view pages
share these saved settings so a user cannot have different view settings for the Agenda View and the Month
View.
The Omniprise system has a Company Calendar by default which is a view-only calendar. Events cannot be
added to the Company Calendar unless a user has been given explicit permission to the Company Calendar.
For more information on setting the Company Calendar, see the Global Setup> Company Manager>
Company Setup Form.
Add Event
Clicking the "Add Event" button opens the Add Calendar Events form, allowing the user to create a
new Calendar Event.

Calendar Controls
The "Calendar Control Bar" allows users to manipulate the Graphical Calendar.
Clicking the
button will change the displayed year back 1 year.
Clicking the
button will change the displayed year forward 1 year.
Clicking the
button will change the displayed month back 1 month.
Clicking the
button will change the displayed month forward 1 year.
Calendar Date Box
The "Calendar Date Box" displays a day of the month and any events scheduled for that date that
the current user has access to.
To get more information about a calendar entry, hover the mouse arrow over the entry on the
calendar. This provides the event title, scheduled by, calendar, start and end time and description of
the event.
When viewing a calendar event that crosses over from week to week or month to month, arrows
indicate that the event laps over into the next week or month.
The "Calendar Date Box" supports four events per day. If there are more than three events listed for
one day, a "More" icon
is displayed at the bottom of the day's event list which denotes
that there are more events than displayed for that day. To edit or delete an existing event, click on
the event in and the "Edit Event" form will open.
Displayed Calendars
The "Displayed Calendars" section displays any calendar that the user has permission to.
A calendar with a check in the associated checkbox causes events for that calendar to display in the
users Graphical Calendar.
A calendar without a check in the associated checkbox causes events for that calendar not to display
in the users Graphical Calendar.

Add Calendar Events Toolbar Icons
The "Add Calendar Events Toolbar" allows users display or undisplay associated fields on the "Add
Calendar Event" form.
Clicking the "Notification" icon
causes the "Notifications" field to display. If the "Notification" field
is displayed, clicking the "Notification" icon
Clicking the "Linked Information" icon
causes the "Notifications" field to be hidden.

Visible Calendars
The "Visible Calendars" section displays calendars that the user has access to add events to.
Placing a check in the associated checkbox will cause the event to be added to that calendar. The
calendars that appear in this box will vary by user based upon permission. Multiple calendars can
be "Checked" in this field.
Note: At least one calendar must be selected to save an event. Required Field
Scheduled By
The "Scheduled By" field is auto populated with the current users' name. Required Field
Event Name
The "Event Name" field allows the user to assign a custom name to the event. Required Field
Event Details
The "Event Details" field is optional and allows the user to add specific details concerning the event.
All Day?
The "All Day?" field allows the user to easily schedule the event to last an entire day vs. a specific
time of the day.

Event Begins
The "Event Begins" field allows the user to type a 'beginning date" for the event or select a date from
the graphical calendar by clicking the "Calendar" icon

Event Ends
The "Event Ends" field allows the user to type an "ending date" for the event or select a date from
the graphical calendar by clicking the "Calendar" icon
.
Notifications
The "Notification" block field allows users to set up reminders on Calendar Events. To add a
notification, press the "Add Reminder"
button.
Enter the minutes, hours or days the reminder should appear before the event begins. Each
reminder will also support its own priority level so notifications may be sent in different ways.
Unlimited reminders may be added to each calendar event. If an all day event is set, the start time is
midnight.
Note: When using OmniSync, only the first reminder will be synced with Microsoft
Outlook.

Attached Files
If a device with scanner capabilities is attached to the computer, a user may access that scanner
through the Omniprise ERP System and attach a file to an entry within Omniprise. The "Scan"
button will only appear if a scanner is attached to the computer.
To add a scanned file in the "Attached Files" field, click the "Scan"
window will open.

file as a .png. Users can only attach one image in a file at a time when scanned in "Image Mode".
Clicking the "PDF Mode"
button will scan the item as a PDF, which saves the file
as a .pdf. Users can save multiple scanned items as "pages" in a single file when the item is scanned
in "PDF Mode".
Click the "Cancel"
button to cancel scanning the item.
After the item has finished scanning the "OmniScan Image" window will open with the scanned item
displayed.
In the "OmniScan Image" window, the user can edit the scan as necessary before saving the item or
uploading the item into Omniprise.

new document will be scanned in.

Note: Although any scanner will work, the recommended scanner to use with the
Omniprise ERP System is the Ambir PS467 simplex scanner.

To edit or delete an event, user must first select the event to be edited or deleted from the "Month View"

Viewing by Agenda
The Agenda View calendar defaults to the current week starting with Monday and Ending with Sunday. To
change the days displayed, select the "Filter"
icon from the toolbar at the top of the screen.

Clicking the "Add Event" button opens the Add Calendar Events form, allowing the user to create a
new Calendar Event.

Date with Event Expanded
Each Calendar Date is represented by a "Date" block field. If the "Date" has an event scheduled, the
block field will automatically be expanded displaying the event details. There can be multiple events
listed in each "Date" block field. Users can collapse a "Date" block field by clicking the "Collapse"
icon. To edit the event, the user can click the "Edit Event"
button.
The "Event" will open in the "Edit Calendar Event General Information" form.

Displayed Calendars
The "Displayed Calendars" section displays any calendar that the user has permission to.
A calendar with a check in the associated checkbox causes events for that calendar to display in the

Managing Calendars
The Manage Calendars form is used to add, edit and maintain calendars. There are three sections on the page: Global
Calendars, Shared Calendars, and Personal Calendars.

Viewing and Editing Global Calendar Table
Global Calendars are preset calendars within the Omniprise ERP System and are not user created. The
calendars consist of Company, Initial Location, Initial Division and Initial Department.
All users have access to the Company Calendar.
Based on user permissions, the Initial Location, Initial Division and Initial Department Calendars may or may
not be accessible.
Color
The Color column displays the user assigned color of the associated Calendar.
Calendar
The Calendar column displays the name of the Calendar. Users can edit the color associated with the
Global Calendar by clicking on the Calendar row.

Clicking on a row in the Global Calendars table opens the "Global Edit Calendar" block field.
Calendar Name
The "Calendar Name" field is a display only field that displays the name of the calendar.
Calendar Color
Users can change the color associated with a calendar by clicking on a color.
Save & Close, Cancel Buttons
Clicking the "Save & Close" button saves any changes made to the "Global Calendar".
Clicking the "Cancel" button will close the "Global Edit Calendar" block field and return the user to
the "Manage Calendars" form.

Viewing the Shared Calendars Table
Shared Calendars are created by one user and shared with another user or users. The Shared Calendars
table displays the Status, Color, Name and Shared By information of the calendar.
Status
The Status column displays the status of a calendar. A green block means the Calendar is
"Active", a grey block means the Calendar is "Inactive". By default, users only see "Active"
Calendars.
Color
The Color column displays the color of the Shared Calendar.
Calendar
The Calendar column displays the name of the calendar.
Shared By
The Shared By column displays the name of the user who shared the Calendar.

Clicking on a Calendar in the "Shared Calendar" table will open the "Edit Shared Calendars" block field.
Calendar Name
The "Calendar Name" field is read only and displays the name of the "Shared Calendar".
Status
The "Status" field lets the user change the calendar from "Active" to "Inactive". If the "Shared
Calendar" is in a state of "Inactive", the calendar will be removed from all calendar pages. This is
useful if a calendar is not being used or if the calendar provides information that is not applicable to
the user. The status may be changed from "Inactive" to "Active" again but the "Shared Calendar"
table defaults to display only "Active" Calendars by default.
Notes
The "Notes" field allows users to attach descriptive notes to the Shared Calendar.

Viewing the Personal Calendars Table
Personal Calendars are created by a user for many different purposes. Personal Calendars are powerful, as
they allow for sharing with other Employees, Locations, Divisions, Departments etc. To create a Personal
Calendar, click the "Add Personal Calendar"
button.
Status
The Status column displays the status of the Personal Calendar. A green block means the Calendar
is "Active", a grey block means the Calendar is "Inactive". By default, users only see "Active"
Calendars.
Color
The Color column displays the color of the Shared Calendar.

The Calendar column displays the name of the calendar. Users can delete a "Personal Calendar" by
clicking the "Delete"
icon beside the associated Calendar.

Clicking on a Calendar in the "Personal Calendar" table will open the "Edit Personal Calendars" block field.
Note: To create a "Shared Calendar" a "Personal Calendar" must already exist.

Share Calendar Permissions
In the Calendar Permissions window, you will choose access control for the "Company Calendar".
Employee Filtering Options
To streamline the names that are shown in the table for "Calendar Permissions", users can apply
filtering options provided.
Pressing the "Filter by" button
will open the "Filter by" window.
The "Filter by" window provides users the ability to filter results by Location, Division, Departments,
Employee Classes or Employee Groups. The user's choice will affect the names returned and the
order returned in the table.

Search Field
The "Search" field enables the user to enter strings of text to further filter the results shown in
the display results table. Users can be very specific and enter a "Last Name", "First Name" "First
Name Last Name" or can enter individual letters or strings of letters to bring back a larger number
of Employee results in the table. Each employee is tied to one Location, Division, Department and
Employee Class. Groups can be multiple.
Examples of proper searches are: "John" or "John Doe" or "Doe".
Entering "Last Name First Name" or "Last Name, First Name" will not return results.
Examples of a bad search are: "Doe John" or "Doe, John".
Display Field
The "Display" field filters the contents of the table when users select an option from the drop down.
The options are:
Show All Employees
Locations
Divisions
Departments
Employee Classes
Employee Groups
Choosing permissions for the Calendar using the "Display" field allows batch editing for all individuals
in that particular classification instead of having to permission by specific employee. For example,
choosing "Employee Classes" from the drop down would adjust permissions for all the individuals in
the class selected.

Display Results Table
The "Display Results" table will contain a list of all values that met the qualifications in the Display
and Search Fields. This table allows permissions to be assigned to the Company Calendar.
The options are:
View, which will give the individual or group the ability to view the calendar.
Add, which will give the individual or group the ability to add events to the calendar.
Edit, which will give the individual or group the ability to add events and edit events on the calendar.
Delete, which will give the individual or group the ability add events, edit events or delete events
from the calendar.
Note: It is not possible to assign a user only "Add", only "Edit" or only "Delete" Access.
Show Access Only
Checking the "Show Access" box will filter the Display Results Table so only users with access are
displayed.
Give Global Access
Checking the "Give Global Access" field provides the ability to give full access to the calendar to
every user in the system. For example, to provide all users in the system the ability to add entries
to the calendar, check the "Give Global Access" field.
The table will update to say "All Access". Check the appropriate box to give "View", "Add", "Edit"
and/or "Delete" access to all users.

Finish / Cancel Buttons
To finish and commit your changes to "Calendar Permissions", click the "Finish" button
and the window will close.
