2011 Product Showcase
Apple iPad and iPhone Control
At Australian Monitor we know that one of the most crucial aspects
of a successful audio installation is the user interface – the only part
of the system that your client interacts with every day.
With this in mind we have introduced simple and intuitive
user interfaces such as the ICON CP control panel
which offers numerous end user configurations for the
Revolution series DSP, the Innovation IN600 AV controller
and the soon to be released AMD series of class-D
amplifiers. With LED button and level indication, easy
to configure RS485 topography and addressing set via
hardware dip switches, the ICON CP control panels are
as easy to set up and install as they are to operate. In
addition, with two-way communications to the controlling
unit, the ICON CP’s are constantly updated.
Australian Monitor’s IN series, Revolution DSP and AMD
amplifiers all offer seamless integration with Crestron or
other third party control systems.

AUSTRALIAN MONITOR
We also offer simple and easy to use end user GUI’s
as part of the software suite for AV Revolution and Zone
Revolution.
Taking this GUI concept even further, Australian Monitor
are currently developing a range of applications for
Apple’s iPhone and iPad products, thus again offering
a simple and intuitive end user interface that allows the
task of giving your client the control over their complex
AV system that is as simple as launching an app on their
iPhone or iPad.
The Apple apps for the Revolution Series will be available
early 2011 and are just another way Australian Monitor
makes the installation and operation of your AV system
simple, intuitive and flexible.

ICON Control Interfaces and Third Party Control Options
Australian Monitor is very excited to release a series of End User Control Interfaces and software applications
for many of its digital products. The End User Interfaces have been designed by our industrial designers with
ergonomics, style and practicality in mind. They are as intuitive as they are easy to use and represent incredible
value for money.
ICON Control Panel (ICON-CP)
The ICON Control Panel is an extremely intuitive and simple to use wall mountable
control interface. The ICON-CP features two-way communication to the
processor, so the system status and present system configuration are (displayed
visually) to the end user. The ICON-CP can perform different tasks as required
by the individual installation, whether it be localised volume control, switching
between program sources, muting the local zone or recalling a preset system
configuration, this control is now as simple as the push of a button.
For simplicity sake, the AMD100, AMD200 and IN600 have preset ICON-CP
functionality. For further information on the control functions, please refer to the
relevant owners manuals, which are available from the Australian Monitor website
The ICON-CP is available in black or white.
ICON1 and ICON3
The ICON1 and ICON3 Paging Microphones have taken what has traditionally
been a staid and dated looking device and turned it into an attractive, functional
and extremely easy to use, end user interface. The ICON paging microphone
range has striking looks and ergonomic design, taking the concept of a paging
microphone into the new millennium.
In the future the ICON paging microphone range will also have expansion modules
and CobraNet enabled variants so they can be tailored to the specific size of the
installation.

AUSTRALIAN MONITOR
Accessories
PC Graphical User Interface (GUI)
The Australian Monitor Revolution Series software incorporates
a simple and intuitive end user graphical user interface (GUI) as part
of the standard software suite. The GUI allows for simple level control
for all inputs and outputs per zone, with level indication metering,
preset recall and input and output mutes. All level controls can
have minimum and maximum levels governed from the ‘advanced’
designer page in software. These ‘advanced’ design parameters can
be password protected to ensure the original system design set-up
can not be accidentally altered by the end user.
Third Party Control
The same Australian Monitor GUI features are available as serial
strings for seamless third party control. To make integration even
easier, Australian Monitor offers control modules for both AMX and
Crestron which can be downloaded from the Australian Monitor
website.
The Australian Monitor AMD range of amplifiers also has the ability
for third party control via its RS485 port. AMX and Crestron control
modules will be available as downloads for these products from the
website.
iPad and iPhone Control Apps
Australian Monitor now offers an easy to use, downloadable
Apple iPad® and Apple iPhone® application for the AV-Revolution
and the Zone Revolution products. These ‘apps’ will give the
end user all the flexibility of the Australian Monitor AV and Zone
Revolution end user GUI’s without access to the password
protected ‘advanced’ setup features.
These apps have the same look and feel of the software GUI’s and
are intuitive and easy to set up and use. This is just another way we
simplify the integration and control of your DSP based audio system
for your end user.
