Polar Fitness models determine your personal
training zone automatically and individually. You
insert your age and weight and begin the warm-up.
During the warm-up, increase the intensity step by step.
The Fitness models find your optimal training zone, the
OwnZone®, using latest technology. It is based on the
measurement technology of the heart rate variability
developed by Polar. Your personal OwnZone® is displayed
within 5 minutes. Then you know exactly what you have
to do to reach your personal fitness goals.
With OwnZone® advanced, it is possible to differentiate your training, as a higher and a lower
training zone are determined. In the lower training zone your fat metabolism is supported and your
basic endurance is improved, training in the higher zone
targets to improve your fitness.
CALORIE EXPENDITURE AND FAT BURNING
If you switch on the OwnCal® function and have
inserted your age, weight and sex, your Polar
Fitness model tells you during your training exactly how
many calories you are currently burning, and after your
training session, how many calories you have burnt in
total. In addition, a percentage, indicating the percent of
fat consumption from the total kilocalories expended
during an exercise session, is displayed. If you want to
reduce weight, you should target your training to a high
percentage of fat consumption. The OwnCal® function is
based on the most accurate calorie expenditure
measurement currently existing.
