About Major Science
Who we are
Founded in 1994 by a team of experienced engineers as well as up-and-coming design specialists, Major Science designs,
manufactures, and markets laboratory equipment that supports scientific research in life sciences laboratories. Headquartered in
Saratoga, California, Major Science provides laboratory products and quality services to biotechnology companies, academic
institutions and government research labs across the world.
Major Science is consistently delivering cutting-edge instruments for the bio-industry that cover nearly all of your laboratory needs.
We provide the Winpact family which is the state of the art fermentor and bioreactor for the fermentation and cell cultivation
system. The Winpact product family offers a wide range of fermentation systems and includes many of the most widely applied
bench top-sized instruments for the life sciences field. In addition, we also offer innovative general instruments for all of your
laboratory needs. Our general instrument product line includes electrophoresis system, gel documentation system, thermoblock
reactor, stirring water bath, shaker, incubator and peristaltic pump.

Winpact is a product brand under Major Science, which
provides a comprehensive and innovative line of
cultivation products designed for different cell culture
experiments and applications. It comes at a benchtop
scale and has a large, colorful touch-screen panel with a
user-friendly interface. Its distinctive functions include
various programming operations to control the pump
speed, pH levels, temperature, and more. The Winpact
Fermentation System comes equipped with a full
connection device to connect to any PC for real-time
recording and environment control within the vessel.

Creating innovative cell cultivation solutions is among one
of our highest priorities. For the Winpact family product
lines, we will be adding vessels that are bigger and smaller
in size, as well as pilot and production scale vessels.
Furthermore, we are developing the means to create
connections from multiple cell culture vessels in different
conditions to a single controller. In addition, Major Science
is expanding on the cell cultivation line with more optional
devices that can be integrated with our current systems.
These expansion includes various vessel types, parts,
accessories, and sub-systems. We will also embed the use
of disposable systems that function with plastic instead of
glass vessels.

Thermostat Lab Bioreactor System,
with Double Jacketed Dish Bottom Vessel
FS-01-A Series
The double jacketed vessel is specially designed for temperature sensitive and shear-force sensitive cells such as mammalian
and insect cell cultures. With the thermostat system and
pitched-blade impeller design, fragile cells can be gently mixed
an cultivated for a long period of time without damaging the
cells. The2-stage DO cascade control allows user to maintain
the Do level automatically by changing agitation speed or
introducing pure oxygen. A full assortment of accessories is
offered as a standard package. In addition, our technical
support team can help you tackle any difficult problems and
give you immediate assistance with your cultivation work.
Thermostat Lab Bioreactor System,
with Single Wall Dish Bottom Vessel
FS-01-B Series
This system is equipped with a thermostat temperature control
system and vessel with an inner coil to achieve a fast cooling/heating rate. Various impeller configurations allow users to
adjust agitation to fit their cell type. Users can easily control a
fermentation process using a manual or programmable mode
through the touch control interface. With real-time data recording and remote control function, users will be able to monitor
and optimize the fermentation process. Full accessories are
provided as a standard package to help the user start up the
fermentation process.
Thermostat Lab Bioreactor System,
with Air Lifer Vessel (PhotoBioreactor System)
FS-01-C Series
The air lifter system is specifically applied for cell lines
that require air mixing functions. The unique impeller-free design helps cells circulate within the vessel
without disrupting the morphology. The large vessel
surface area and optional external light source crate
optimum condition for photosynthesis. Double jacketed and single wall vessels (with and without temperature control) are both available upon request.
The air lifter system can be operated in either manual
or programmable mode with real time recording.
Each batch can be analyzed in detail, which ensures
that the process can be optimized. Full accessories
are also offered as a standard package to help
first-time users quickly set up their fermentation
process.

Dry Heating Lab Fermentor System
Dry Heating Lab Fermentor System,
with Single Wall Dish Bottom Vessel and Heating Blanket
FS-02-B Series
This system is designed to cover a wide range of applications
such as microbial and cell culture. Depending on the cell types,
customers are able to choose between different impellers and
motor speeds. The blanket heating method provides a precise
and sophisticated temperature control. Similar to other systems,
a controlled fermentation process can be easily done using the
manual or automatic mode from touch screen interface.
Compared to pricy SIP systems, we offer large vessel volumes
(15 and 20 liter) as an economical and alternative option for
your scale-up process. The FS series provides a high yield, great
reproducibility and performance for your fermentation process.
Dry Heating Lab Fermentor System,
with Single Wall Plain Bottom Vessel and Heating Base Unit
FS-02-D Series
The single wall plain bottom vessel is an ideal instrument for your
routine culture or educational purposes. Durable stainless steel
supporting rods and bottom plate are designed to withstand
heavy usage. Fast cooling / heating is achieved through inner
cooling coil and heating base unit. This vessel can be an excellent tool for microbial culture. Different optional devices such as
ORP and O2 enrichment are also available upon request. The
controller also provides manual / programmable modes for
easy operation. Full accessories are offered as a standard
package to help the user easily set up the fermentation
process.

Thermoblock Reactor

Stirring Water Bath
The Major Science SWB series of built-in, thermostatic baths is an innovative line to provide precise
temperature control and excellent mixing performance for a wide range of laboratory applications.
The built-in stirring mechanism not only provides outstanding temperature uniformity, but also applies a
stirring mixture function. The 10L or 20L stainless steel tank can operate flask(s) containing a moderate
amount of solution simultaneously. Two single stirring mechanism models and two multi-stirring models
are available for your preference.

The MS Peristaltic Pump series offers several digitally-controlled versions of the peristaltic pump for a
