Maximum Flexibility and Power for Thin Computing
Wyse-enhanced Microsoft Windows XPe gives users the applications and
performance they want, while delivering the flexibility and administrative
simplicity that IT administrators need. So you can take advantage of
enhanced security thin computing offers, along with peripheral and addon support that Windows XP is famous for.
Running Microsoft Windows XPe on Wyse thin computing
devices gives IT departments the ability to deploy fully
functional desktop computers with better manageability
and significantly lower total cost of ownership than
personal computers.
Wyse Windows XPe-based thin computers can run 32bit Windows applications, either locally or from servers
located on the network. Additionally, when you deploy
Microsoft Windows XPe on thin computers, you get the
most flexibility to add and support peripherals and
other add-ons.
By combining this robust operating system with firmware
componets, Wyse is able to reduce boot times and
increase protection against viruses, trojan horses, and
other malware. Giving you a more secure solution with
the flexibility to add standard peripherals. Peripherals
can only be connected with permission from the IT
administrator.
Windows XPe requires a minimum of 256MB of flash
memory and 256MB of RAM on any thin device. It is
supported on the Wyse S90, Wyse V90, Wyse 9150,
and Wyse 941GXL thin clients.

The Wyse S90 is the smallest, most
advanced Windows XPe-based thin computer on the market. The compact chassis has
USB 2.0 plus serial ports, and fits on or
under a desk, or can be easily mounted on
a monitor or wall.
The Wyse V90 includes a powerful CPU;
optional smart card slot; CardBus/PCMCIA
slot; plus serial, parallel, and USB ports.
The Wyse V90 can be attached to a wall,
desk, or in any space-constrained environment via its monorail mounting system

Because Wyse thin clients have no moving
parts, they deliver greater reliability, availability, and lower cost of ownership than
other solutions. With no local storage,
malware is dealt with at the server level,
where it’s easier to detect. There is also
no way to remove information, so sensitive
data stays on the server and remains
compliant with privacy regulations.
Today our software makes it easy to manage,
update, and even service any thin client
from one central location. Additionally with
solid-state technology, Wyse thin computers
are nine times more reliable than PCs
because there are no moving parts. And
even if a device does fail, the data remains
instantly available on the server.

open-source applications, our Linux 2.6based Wyse V6 Linux is the ideal choice.

All thin clients include a 10/100 BaseT

When you need a full version of Internet
Explorer as a local browser, require specialty
peripherals, or need the latest 32-bit
Windows compatibility, Microsoft XPe is your
best choice. These flexible, customizable,
and robust thin clients can fit the most
demanding business computing requirements. The units include local terminal emulation, browsing, and Windows Media Player.

the unit to offer local load-and-go execution
of Windows application software.
The S and V class thin clients feature
Wyse’s innovative monorail attachment system that accommodates essentially any
placement and mounting need. Feet are
attached to the monorail enabling the units
for vertical or horizontal placement on a
workspace, and optional mounting brackets
are available for out-of-the-way mounting
such as on a wall, under a desk, on the back
of a monitor. All other units have integrated
feet, and mounting brackets are available
where applicable.
