Winnie the Pooh and his friends invite you to join in the music concert! Pooh will help your child learn about colors, music and nature sounds with cheerful melodies making learning fun! On/Off Button Light-up Piano Keys Musical Tempo Turning Disk 2 INCLUDED IN THIS PACKAGE • One VTech® Musical Learning Center learning toy • One instruction manual WARNING: All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, wire ties and tags are not part of this toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety. GETTING STARTED 1. Make sure the unit is OFF. 2. Locate the battery cover at the bottom of the unit. Use a coin or screwdriver to loosen the screw. 3. Install 3 new “AA” (UM-3/LR06) batteries as illustrated. (The use of new, alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum performance.) Getting Started BATTERY INSTALLATION 4. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure the battery cover. BATTERY NOTICE • • • • • Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged (if removable). Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision (if removable). Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used. 3 • • • • • Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity. Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited. The toy is not to be connected to more than recommended number of power supplies. Do not dispose of battery in fire. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES. ON/OFF BUTTON 1. Press the On/Off Button to turn the unit on. Winnie the Pooh will welcome you to the concert. 2. Press a button to have musical fun! 3. Press the On/Off Button again to turn the unit off. Product Features PRODUCT FEATURES VOLUME CONTROL SWITCH Slide the butterfly Volume Control Switch switch located on the right side of the unit to adjust the volume. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF To preserve battery life, the VTech® Musical Learning Center will automatically turn off after several minutes without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing the On/Off Button. 4 3D CHARACTER BUTTONS Press one of the 3D Character Buttons to hear a fun phrase and a song. Each character plays a different song accompanied by his own special instrument. The light-up piano buttons will flash along with the song. Press other 3D Character Buttons while a character is singing and they will jam along to the song with their instruments. Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush MUSICAL TEMPO TURNING DISK Turn the Musical Tempo Turning Disk clockwise to speed up the melody or song that is playing. Turn it counter-clockwise to slow down the music. 6 QUIZ ROLLER Spin the Quiz Roller anytime and Pooh will ask a question. Press the corresponding button to answer. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth. 2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat source. 3. Remove the batteries when the unit is not in use for an extended period of time. 4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water. 9 TROUBLESHOOTING If for some reason the program/activity stops working, please follow these steps: 1. Please turn the unit OFF. 2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries. 3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries. 4. Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play again. If the problem persists, please call our Consumer Services Department at 1-800-521-2010 in the U.S. or 1-877-352-8697 in Canada. Troubleshooting 5. If the product still does not work, replace with a new set of batteries. Note: This equipment induces a weak magnetic field that may affect watches, television sets or monitors. It is recommended to keep this unit away from metallic materials when playing. 10 FCC NOTICE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
