The TravelMate ™ 660 can be supplied with the flexible Acer MediaBay which houses all optical drives, or even a second battery. For corporate users, the TravelMate ™ 660 offers Boot-from-Lan, Wake-on-LAN, multiple passwords, asset tag storage and DMI BIOS.

Complete Communication and Connectivity Confidence

The TravelMate ™ 660 incorporates the 802.11b wireless networking solution offering both reliability and high-speed, flexible and convenient connections to in-house LAN Internet, or to Internet “hot spots” that are becoming increasingly more widespread in airports and other public places, thus reducing the complexity of data connection around the ability to gain remote access.

The TravelMate ™ 660 also offers flexible connections to the web, to Remote Access Servers and to email servers via V.92 56Kbit/sec fax modem and via the integrated wireless LAN card. In the office, it can be connected to the local network and the ADSL uplink with the integrated flexible

10-Base-T / 100-Base-TX network card.

Integrated Security Solution

For multi login environments, the SmartCard solution offers a secure and convenient storage for several login/password strings, available with one mouse click. This integrated security solution also takes care of pre-boot authentication, and data encryption both for data storage and email attachments.
