If the NVRAM that stores hour meter data on the DR-414 or
DR-508 board is near the end of its life span, the hours meter
value may decrease, returning close to zero (0), or the value may
be abnormally high.
NOTE:
•
The NVRAM should be replaced every four years, depending
on operation hours. If operation hours exceed 20 hours per
day, the NVRAM should be replaced every three years.
•
Abnormal values may appear on the hours meter after
approximately five years of operation.

MODIFICATION PROCEDURE
Replace IC101 on the DR-414 or DR-508 board with a new IC, or
replace the DR board with a new DR-672 board.
NOTE: A long-life NVRAM is used on the DR-672 board;
therefore, the NVRAM does not need to be replaced.

CONFIRMATION
MSW/DVW/HDW Series
1. Perform the adjustment described in the maintenance
manual, volume 1, section 8-3 “Servo/DT Adjustment”.
2. In Maintenance mode, set the serial number with menu M31.
3. Play back tape after the adjustment, and confirm that video
and audio play back correctly.
SRW Series
1. Perform the adjustment described in the maintenance
manual, volume 1, section 8-3 “Servo/DT Adjustment”.
2. Play back tape after the adjustment, and confirm that video
and audio play back correctly.
NOTE: Error-97 will occur at first power-ON after the NVRAM is
replaced if the adjustment described above is not executed and
saved.
