The DocuColor 1450 GA aims for the very highest image quality.
During its development, the print engine itself was newly designed. A more precise “4 cycle engine” has been adopted for the print system.
Overlaying each CMYK toner layer in the same position of the paper
prevents uneven color and color-to-color misregistration. The device
enables a speed of 14.3 ppm* in color while obtaining stable color
reproduction.
“Photoreceptor drum” developed for high precision and high
quality
State-of-art “correction technology” supports high image
quality
“VCSEL-ROS” enabling the direct print
of 1 bit TIFF data
The photoreceptor drum unit, which is the key to accurate color
reproduction, has also been newly developed. The unit adopts 2mmthick aluminum material, and the shape of the drum has been made
as close to a “true circle” to reduce variation in the development/
transfer process. Stabilization has also been enabled by increasing the
rigidity along with the roundness. This reduces nonuniformity within
paper.
“Line sensor” and “registration roller” have been adopted to correct
misalignment in the paper position. “IReCT*” also digitally corrects
image mis-registration with a high precision of 2,400 dpi based on
the alignment information of the image scanned with the registration
sensor. This enables duplex printing with matching front to back
registration.
This device is equipped with the “VCSEL” surface emitting laser
scanning technology with multiple beams. This technology enables
unrivalled 2,400 dpi high resolution processing. Also, the reason why
“1 bit TIFF” , one of the TIFF data formats generated from a workflow
RIP, can be directly printed is because this technology is at its base.

Appearance and usability that meet
professional demands
Fuji Xerox has aimed for a high quality appearance
suitable for a high quality engine, and ease of use for
a wide range of people, from professional designers to
office users.
The center of the device has a blue box that indicates
the control area while suggesting the inclusion of a
high performance engine. By installing an optional
monitor installation kit, a Print Server monitor and
compact keyboard can be attached to a print engine
without taking up much space.
An 8.5 “ WVGA color TFT display is adopted for the
control panel. In addition to the large buttons and
colorful graphics adopted by the device, ease of use
has been further improved by adopting paper trays
with a latch mechanism for reducing the trouble taken
to replace paper.

The Color Profile Maker Pro CMS software
is provided for creating profiles from ICC
profiles and the measurement results of
user-defined patch sets. The i1® series
can be used for spectrophotometer. In
addition to target adjustment that can
adjust the color reproduction of profiles and
reduce the amount of CMYK toner usage by up to 160%, a mode for
measuring the color of a simulation result and providing feedback has
been added from version 9.0. This enables more precise profiles to be
created.
Calibration by scanner and calibration by spectrophotometer are
supported. i1® spectrophotometers from X-Rite are optionally
supported.

In the Color ProfileMaker Pro CMS software , especially for the graphic
arts market, a new function for repeatedly providing feedback on
the result of outputting profiles has been added. This enables CMYK

The Raster Image Viewer enables you to preview ripped data on

Each CMYK plate can be displayed separately, as can data separeted

Mapping supporting a real output resolution of 2,400 dpi has been
designed on a segmented matrix, to perform image enhancement

With coated paper, the gloss on the image surface can be adjusted
between three levels. By adding glossiness, you can simulate a richer
finishing more similar to offset printing.

PX140 Print Server which is Fuji Xerox-developed controller adopts 64bit architecture. The latest hardware and image processing technology
cultivated over long years enables high-speed image transfer that
adopts lossless compression that does not degrade image quality.
Up to 100 each of TCP/IP lpr ports, hot folders, and AppleTalk are
supported (the maximum number of logical printers that can perform
at the same time is 20). Default print options can be set for printers
(lpr), folders (FTP), and Macintosh clients to efficiently utilize functions.

The DocuColor 1450 GA includes various high level functions for
graphic arts professionals. Without question, it also includes all the
basic multifunction device functions such as copy, print, scan, and
fax. With this single device, it can also be used for general work in the
design departments of advertising companies and design offices can
also be used.

This device can be used as a printer for outputting comprehensive
layouts and proofs, and also for standard applications such as copying

is space saving. The DocuColor 1450 GA is a “single device with 4
services” that is easy to operate but offers advanced functions. It can
be conveniently utilized for a wide range of applications.
If you have a multifunction device, a separate scanner and printer is
not required. The DocuColor 1450 GA also supports A3 size documents
and lossless compression that does not degrade image quality. It has
