The purpose of this guide is to provide you
with the proper installation procedure of your
cassette and the mating components.
Read the guide and owner's manual from
cover to cover, and the music will go round
and round wherever you go.
A Hi-F i onboard cassette dack with broader
frequency response. Plus a lot more.
A tota I of seven combinations to construct
your own on board audio system. They are
described below in terms of the components
to go with.

Before
starting to construct your system, be sure
to read the manual carefully 50 you may
select the correct topics for the system
being constructed.
•
A II couplers, connectors and \vires are
color coded. You may find it easier than
you think to assemble the cassette and
components.
•
Careful handling of the preCISion Hi-Fi
components is important.
As a rule of thumb you should handle
their cables and wires with greatest care.
Remember that rough handling can lead
to broken insulation and a host of other
malfunctions.

mirrors.

Slide the boots off the mirror stays.
-2 Rotate the mirrors as shown, and
remove the two mount bolts from
each. To gain access to the mount
bo Its, it is necessary to invert the
boots.
NOTE:
Do not let the mirrors fall.

Remove the windshield garnish.
NOTE: Use added care when removing
the windshield garnish to avoid
distorting "it. To remove, push it up
along the contour of the windshield

Route the 4-P white coupler (stored in

the clock mount.

cluster holder. I nstall the radio mounting
bracket in place of the cluster holder.

in the fairing at the location shown in

Position the amplifier in place in the
fairing pocket and install using a

coupler holder, and route the end of
the feeder through the large hole in
the holder, then trough the small
hole, into the fairing.
Reinstall the grommet.
NOTE: Route the feeder over the
main amplifier and secure with the
wire clamp as shown.

24) Check operation of each compoents as
follows:

Check that the wire harnesses and
cables' are routed properly and are not
pinched, twisted or pulled taut in all
steering positions.
·2 Check that the radio is secure in its
mount, and that it can be removed
and installed easily with the key.
-3 Connect the battery negative cabie to
the battery negative terminal.
-4 With the ignition switch in the ACe
position, turn on the radio switch.
Check the radio and cassette deck for
proper operation.
-5 Recheck the harness and cable routings if there is any abnormality.
25) Check all bolts, nuts, screws and other
fasteners for security.
Retighten if
necessary.
26) I nstall the headlight.

Refer to Step 6 and Fig. 14.
NOTE: Check that the headlight
aiming gears are engaged properly.
27) Install the windshield and windshield
garnish.
28) I nstall the left fairing pocket.
NOTE: Re-arrange and secure the harnesses with the harness clamp on the
main amplifier, if difficulty is encountered in installing the pocket In
the fairing.
29) Install the shelter, seat and side covers.
30) Install the inner cover.
NOTE:
Follow all safety nots and precautions
described in the owner's manual and
caution label on the back of the case.
