DISCLAIMERS AND SAFETY GUIDE
Specific warnings and cautions will be found in this manual whenever they apply.
WARNING!
Properly Ground the Game!
The coin and ticket doors are grounded at the factory. After servicing any part of the doors, or
other grounded metal surfaces, verify the grounding wire is firmly attached to a solid metal
surface. If this ground is removed or the game is not plugged into a grounded three-wire
outlet, the players may receive an electrical shock! To avoid electrical shock. plug the game
into a wall socket that has been inspected and properly grounded. Do not plug the game into a
two-wire outlet. Instead, we recommend using a licensed electrician to install a three wire
grounded outlet.
Connect to Proper AC Line Voltage
Before the game is plugged into an AC wall socket, verify the game’s power supply can
accept the AC line voltage in your location. The line voltage requirements are detailed in the
Product Specification section on this manual.
Disconnect AC Line Voltage During Repairs
To avoid electrical shock, reduce the risk of fire hazard, and prevent equipment damage,
follow these safety procedures while servicing the game. Disconnect the game from the AC
wall socket before removing or repairing any part of the game. The power supply can retain
charge for a period of time even after the AC power is removed. Use care when working near
the power supply or on any circuitry connected to it. Verify the indicator LED’s on the Power
Supply and the PC Boards are completely OFF (dark, not dimly lit) before servicing the
boards or the wiring. When repairs are completed, DO NOT turn on power with the harness
connectors unplugged - live electrical parts will be exposed. Do not reconnect any harnesses
while the power is on. Severe damage may occur to the PCBs.
Use Proper Replacement Fuses
To avoid electrical shock, reduce the risk of fire hazard, and prevent equipment damage,
replace any fuse with those specified on the power supply fuse label. Replacement fuses must
match fuse type, voltage rating, and current rating for the game to operate safely.
Caution!!!
Properly attach all connectors. Verifv the connectors on each printed circuit
board are properly inserted The connectors are keyed to fit in one direction.
If they do not easily slip into place, STOP, do not force them into place. I f
you reverse a connector, you may damage your game and void your
warranty.
Notice regarding non Lazer-Tron Parts!!!
Use of non Lazer-Tron parts or unauthorized modifications to any Lazer-Tron game may
adversely affect the safety of your game and cause injury to you or your players.

9. Place tickets into the ticket holder and feed them into the ticket dispenser.
10. The game will not be ready for play until the coin shooter is properly adjusted. Please see the
following section.
How to Adiust the COIN SHOOTER
The function of the Coin Shooter is to give players a chance to exhibit their skills by guiding
a coin to a target. The COIN SHOOTER is designed to accept one coin size by installing a
specific Coin Entry Plate and by setting the Coin Adjuster to proper height. The Coin
Shooter has 4 major components that may require some adjustments in order to maintain
optimal performance. Major components are identified in Figure 1.
1. COIN ENTRY PLATE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION.
The Coin Entry Plate was set at the factory to accept a .984” diameter coin. If this is
your token size skip to step 5.
If the game requires a Coin Entry Plate for your size coin, please purchase it through
Lazer-Tron customer service at (510) 460-0873, or Roger Williams Mint at (800)
225-2734.
The four rivets hold the entry plate in place and must be drilled out by using a 3/32”
diameter drill bit. Before installing the new Coin Entry Plate, clean out all debris
from the coin passage to prevent future coin jams. Use pop-rivets l/8” diameter X
.3/8” long and a rivet gun to secure new Coin Entry plate. If a rivet gun is not
available, insert rivets and clinch the bottom part of rivets with a Vise Grip. Cover
top part of the rivet with a flat metal, i.e. coin, to avoid any sharp impression made
by the Vise Grip teeth.
2. SETTING COIN ADJUSTER. (Figure 2)
The Coin Adjuster Plate was set at factory to reject a coin smaller than .984”. The
purpose of this adjustable plate is to provide an upper sidewall for a specific
diameter coin to maintain its vertical position. The bottom edge of the Coin Adjuster
should not extend beyond l/32” into the coin. If the plate is adjusted correctly,
smaller diameter coins that enter the Coin Entry Plate will be forced out of the track
by the leaf spring. We strongly recommend that you remove the shooter assembly
and adjust the Coin Adjuster on a table to ensure the proper settings.
3. LEAF SPRING ADJUSTMENT
The Leaf Spring forces all coins to lean against the Coin Adjuster Plate. See Figure
2. Small diameter coins will be forced out of the track the sidewall cannot support
them. Specified diameter coins will be able to roll past the Leaf Spring due to the
Coin Adjuster’s sidewall. Most of the leaf spring adjustments are made at the “U”
bend area. Pressure that forces the coins against the upper sidewall can be adjusted
by varying the “U” bend. Excessive outward bend will cause designated coins to jam
due to too much pressure.
4. SWEEP ADJUSTMENT
Two screw posts extending out of left and right brackets control the shooter’s travel
angle. Make sure the screws are tightly secured by double nuts. The coin should

travel just above the “W” target when the shooter is in the rightmost position.
5. CABINET ADJUSTMENT
The coin travel is affected by the condition of your floor. In order for a coin to travel
around the funnel efficiently, the funnel must the leveled. To check for the proper travel
path place the shooter in rightmost position. Insert at least 10 coins into the shooter with
various degrees of force. If the coins do not hit the funnel’s wall or the cabinet. no
adjustment is necessary (see Figure 3.)
If any coin hits the funnel’s wall or the cabinet, raise the back of the cabinet until the coin
clears the left: wall.

TEST MODE AND TROUBLESHOOTING
The following is a partial list of events that could occur to make your game inoperable. If you
have problems, first consult this section of the manual before calling for customer assistance.
These stem should be taken before anv servicinp to the electronics:
1) Turn game off - wait ten seconds for the power supply to fully discharge - and then turn il
back on. (See if problem disappears)
2) Check all connectors for correct and complete mating. Look for any broken wires.
3) Check red LED’s on the Main printed circuit board. (Power). They should be on. Any
LED’s that are off (or very dim) may indicate a blown fuse for the corresponding output
on the power supply. Check the power supply outputs with a voltmeter. Replace the fuses
as necessary.
IMPORTANT! Before servicing or replacing the boards make sure the power is off. When
replacing a board, set the DIP switches identically to the original board.
Match all operator adjustable features on the replacement board to the
