CLASSROOM TECHNOLOGY:
AMX Control Panel –
Centennial 105 & McNutt 130
Centennial Hall 105 and V.H. McNutt Hall 130 are two of the earliest technology-enhanced classrooms.
They are both equipped with an AMX touch-panel device that turns on the projectors and toggles
between inputs.
The AMX Remote Control controls the video inputs to the projectors as well as the power for the
projectors. It can be detached from its base, if necessary, and carried around the room, operating via a
battery pack and wireless connection.
TURN ON/OFF AMX REMOTE CONTROL
1. Press the large square button on the right side of the AMX Remote Control.
2. The AMX Remote Control will turn itself off after a few minutes if it is not being used.
POWER PROJECTORS
1. Touch System Power on the AMX remote control.
2. To turn on a projector, select LCD 1, LCD 2, LCD 3, or ALL under the TURN ON column. The
“ALL” option will turn on all projectors simultaneously. It takes approximately 40 seconds for a
projector to power on. NOTE: Centennial Hall 105 has three projectors. McNutt Hall 130 only has
two projectors.
3. To turn off a projector, select LCD 1, LCD 2, LCD 3, or ALL under the TURN OFF column. It
takes approximately 1 minute to cool down a projector. The other functions of the AMX Remote
Control are unavailable while the projectors cool down.
