Troubleshooting Faults
If the LEDs indicate the unit has a fault check the following:
1. Is there adequate power to the unit?
2. Is there a system trigger?
3. Check rear and front tampers.
4. Is the battery connected properly and has it had time to charge (18 hours)?

Installing the unit
1. Site the unit on an external wall high enough to be both visible and to deter
interference from an intruder.
2. Using the template provided on the unit's cardboard packaging, mark out and drill
the mounting and cable entry holes into the wall.
3. Install a 6-core cable from the control panel and feed this through the wall.
4. Unscrew and remove the front cover. Feed the cable through the cable entry
hole and fix the backplate to the wall.
Check the following: The cable isn't trapped between the backplate
and the wall. The rear tamper is seated and
adjusted correctly.
5. Make off and connect the cable wires to the appropriate bellbox connections. Use
the colour codes suggested in the wiring reference table.
6. Relocate the PCB jumper connections to suit the installation. Use the table
overleaf to select functions.
7. Re-fit the cover and connect to the control panel using the wiring reference table
or alternatively the control panel documentation.

Precautions
1. Do not drill through the backplate - this will invalidate the warranty.
2. Ensure that the supply to the unit is adequately fused. The unit consumes
approximately 320mA when in operation.
3. Ensure the backplate and components remain dry during installation.
4. If the unit should fail - Do not separate the PCB, sounder or battery from the
backplate. Return the unit complete.

To connect the on board battery, disconnect the positive wire at the BTO terminal
and connect it to the BT1+ terminal.
Check the black battery wire is connected to BT1- terminal.
NOTE: Upon installation the battery may not have enough power to activate the
sounder for the panels initialisation period. This does not mean the battery is faulty,
it requires charging. To charge the battery, the unit should be powered up as
normal (with the battery connected) and left for approximately 18 hours.
