9. Next, position the open mouth of the detachable pot handle over the edge of the pot. Press
the lever found on the top of the pot handle, to the forward position. The clamp at the end
of the pot handle will then close and it will now be attached to the pot. The lever will then

handle.
10. This appliance can also bake or grill food with the use of the special grill rack that has been
provided. To cook food under 20mm thick, please use the side of the grilling rack with the

that is thicker than 20mm, please turn the rack over and use the lower height.
CAUTION: Do not operate the Dry Fryer without food inside. Attempting to operate this
appliance without food in the pot will result in permanent damage to the internal safety
mechanism of this appliance, thus invalidating your warranty.
CAUTION: Do not touch any of the surfaces of the Dry Fryer, as they get very hot during use.
When opening the lid, please ensure there is space between you and the appliance as hot
air will escape from inside the appliance. This hot air is a scalding hazard. Always move the
appliance mixing arm and the non-stick pot by using the handles provided.

Other Useful Information
•
When adding herbs, garlic and other spices, please mix them with a bit of oil before adding
them to the Dry Fryer.
•
Where necessary (for fresh produce), always thinly slice the produce before adding them to
the Dry Fryer (onions, garlic, herbs etc). The produce can block the rotating arm if they are
not sliced thin enough.
•
Always separate food before adding it to the Dry Fryer (eg. nuggets, frozen chips).
•
When cooking meat and chicken, it may be necessary to stop the Dry Fryer and stir the pot
once or twice during cooking. This will ensure that the food does not dry out.
•
Do not add salt to chips or fries while cooking. Wait until the food is removed from the pot
before seasoning to taste.
•
Do not cook stews, casseroles and other food with high liquid content in this appliance.
Cleaning and Maintenance
1. Before cleaning, please always ensure the unit is disconnected from the power outlet and
appliance has completely cooled down.
2. Wipe the housing and inner surface of the Dry Fryer with a damp cloth and then dry
thoroughly. Do not immerse it in water or other liquids.
3. Wash all removable accessories and attachments in warm soapy water, then rinse and dry
thoroughly. The attachments are dishwasher safe.
4. To clean under the mixing arm centre knob (there can be a build-up of
food over time), turn the centre knob in a clockwise direction to release
the cover. After you have finished cleaning, place the knob onto the
mixing arm, then rotate in an anti-clockwise direction to secure.
5. Store the unit indoors in a cool, dry location.
CAUTION: Never use harsh, abrasive, caustic or oven cleaners to clean this appliance. Never
immerse the appliance into water or other liquid for cleaning.

FAQ
Problem
Solution
The Dry Fryer does
not turn on?
• Please check that the power cord is plugged into the outlet
correctly and switched on.
• Check there is power to the outlet by testing with another
product.
The halogen element
on the Dry Fryer
suddenly switches off?
• The Dry Fryer intermittently switches off (after about 6-7
minutes for 1-2 minutes) as the thermostat regulates the
temperature. This is not a product fault.
How do I pause
cooking?
• Open the lid of the Dry Fryer to pause cooking (please note that
the timer will not stop, only the heating operation will).
How do I turn off the
Dry Fryer?
• To switch off, press the ON/OFF button and hold down for 5
seconds.
How do I stop the Dry
Fryer from mashing
my food?
• Please ensure you do not exceed the recommended food
quantities as listed in the user manual.
• If making home-made chips, it is best to use floury potato
types, eg. Kennebec, King Edward, Golden Delight or Sebago.
• We recommend you use thicker cut chips, shoestring fries can
get caught in the mixing arm.
Can I clean all
removable parts in
the dishwasher?
• Yes, all can be placed in the dishwasher apart from the main
unit.
Why does the Dry
Fryer motor produce
an unpleasant smell
during operation?
• It is very common for a new appliance to give off an unpleasant
smell or emit some smoke the first few times it is used. This will
cease with further use.
The pot does not
rotate properly or
makes excessive
noise during use?
• Make sure that the rotating ring is fitted the right way up. Two
of the wheel axles are stamped with the word “UP”. This must
face upwards when the ring is correctly fitted.
