1 Important

Caution

• Risk of product damage! When the apparatus is not used for long periods, remove the battery.

Open the battery compartment.

Insert 3 AA batteries (not supplied) with correct polarity (+/-) as indicated.

Close the battery compartment.

• You can program a maximum of 20 preset FM radio stations and

» All available stations are programmed in the order of waveband reception strength.

» The first programed radio station broadcasts automatically.

Program radio stations manually

Note

• You can program a maximum of 20 preset FM radio stations and

Tune to a radio station.

Press and hold TUNE/PRESET.

» The number begins to blink.

Rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise to select a preset

• To overwrite a programmed station, program another station in its place.

Set the sleep timer

You can set the clock radio to turn off automatically after a certain period of time.

6 Troubleshooting

Warning

To keep the warranty valid, never try to repair the system yourself.

If you encounter problems when using this apparatus, check the following points before requesting service. If the problem remains unsolved, go to the Philips web site (www.philips.com/welcome). When you contact Philips, ensure that the apparatus is nearby and the model number and serial number are available.

No power

• Ensure that the battery is installed properly.

• Replace the exhausted battery.

Timer does not work

• Set the clock correctly.

• Switch on the timer.

No sound

• Adjust the volume.

Clock/timer setting erased

• Replace the exhausted battery.

• Reset the clock/timer.

No response from the unit

• Take out the batteries and turn on the unit again.
