1U ULTRA160 TO ULTRA DMA RAID SUBSYSTEM

The MicroStorage DAS-S4A is a superior data storage option for mission critical and high performance applications. The unit is designed specifically for applications that require system scalability, high performance capability and minimal installation space.

The DAS-S4A is equipped with Ultra160 to Ultra DMA RAID controllers to offer fault tolerant data protection and 100% transparency to the host operating system. A fully featured data protection subsystem supporting RAID levels 0, 1, 0+1, 3 and 5, it is the ideal storage solution for applications requiring high data throughput, continuous availability, and flexibility in configuration.

System reliability is ensured by an environmental monitoring unit, which tracks the enclosure temperature as well as individual disk temperatures. Hot swappable redundant 200W power supplies are continuously monitored and high quality advanced cooling modules provide an optimal environment for high RPM drives. If any irregularity in these systems occurs, the monitoring unit alerts the administrator.

The DAS-S4A comes with 4 drive trays accommodating 3.5"

Ultra DMA drives while SCA-II single connector architecture enables a cable free tray connector design and true hot swap capability.

With a menu driven front panel display, a terminal serial port, real time drive status indicators and a Java-based GUI interface, the DAS-S4A offers a variety of options for monitoring and management. Low cost of ownership, a user-friendly interface and exceptional levels of performance round out the DAS-S4A.
