Introduction:
In order to improve problems, our school will add mobile devices like notebook
computers, pocket PC, etc at every site in the Athletics Day. Also, data will be
transmitted at once, computers will store records immediately and calculate
results. To process results faster, results of track events and field events will
be saved in two different computers.
Background:
Our school’s Athletics Day will on 23 October. Because there are problems
always, therefore our school tries to use notebook computers and pocket PC to
improve speed of transmission for data processing and problems occurred.
Firewall will be added to every router in order to increase security.
I make 2 proposals for this Athletics Day.
Proposal 1:
I will only use wi-fi as the transmission method. In addition, I will use many
wireless computers to transmit data. Besides, a server will be used to store
data and a wireless printer will be used to print data.
Proposal 2:
I will use wi-fi as the main transmission method, but cables will also be used as
a transmission method. Moreover, I will use many wireless computers to
transmit data and will use 2 desktop computers to process data. The 2 desktop
computers will be connected to the server and printer using cables so that data
can be stored and printed.

Reflection:
In this project I learnt the basic structure of a network. I understand the
difficulties and the effects of faults when people are building a network. Just
like when drafting the networking diagram, if there is anything wrong then the
whole network can not be used. Or as a person to build the network, I need to
search information from many different places. And then I have to select what
information is useful and what information is not useful. Then I have to
compare what is suitable to build the network. And to evaluate and draw the
fault diagnostic flowchart. Although it is hard to be a person to build a
network, I understand how difficult it is when I do this project. Furthermore, I
find the joy and sense of success to be a person to build a network. Therefore,
I will keep hard working.
