Sanyo Remote Control
The rooms listed at the top of page 1 are equipped with a video/data projector controlled
by a Sanyo remote (shown below), a full size podium, VHS/DVD player, a PC computer
and a laptop connection. The remote is attached to the podium by a black cord.
To turn the projector on, press
the pink button once. To turn off,
press the pink button twice.
Volume control
To display the desktop
computer on the large screen,
press the Computer 1 button.
To display a laptop computer on
the large screen, press the
Computer 2 button.
To display a VHS or DVD
video on the large screen,
press the Video button.
Using the Desktop Computer
To use the desktop computer located in the podium:
1) Turn it on using the Power button. After the computer boots, two icons appear
on the desktop.
2) Double-click the Faculty icon.
3) Point the remote at the projector and press Computer 1.
The computer is now ready to use.

Using a Laptop
To use a laptop computer:
1) Plug the VGA cable (shown below) that is located on the podium into the laptop.
2) Turn on the laptop.
3) Point the remote at the projector and press Computer 2.
The laptop is now ready to use.

Using the VHS/DVD Player
To use the VHS/DVD player:

Turn on the player using the Power button.
Insert a VHS tape or DVD.
Press Play on the player.
Point the remote at the projector and press Video.
Important: When you are done, please turn off the projector.

Extron Media Control System
The rooms in the second list on page 1 are equipped with a video/data projector, a full
size podium, VHS/DVD player, a PC computer and a laptop connection. The equipment
in these rooms is controlled by an Extron Media Control System (shown below) located
on the wall at the front of the classroom. The image below shows the basic functions of
the Extron controller.
Turn the projector on/off
VCR or DVD both will let you use
the combo unit in the podium
PC-1 lets you use the desktop
computer in the room
PC-2 lets you use a laptop

Using the Desktop Computer
To use the desktop computer located in the podium:
1) Turn it on using the Power button.
2) Login to the computer using your CougarNet account, or login using an account
provided by Classroom Technology. Call Classroom Technology at 713-7431155 for details.
3) Press PC1 on the Extron controller.
The computer is now ready to use.

Using a Laptop
To use a laptop computer:
1) Plug the VGA cable (shown below) that is located on the podium into the laptop.
2) Turn on the laptop.
3) Press PC2 on the Extron controller.
The laptop is now ready to use.
