Mirroring Your iPad’s Screen on Windows (PC) Using Air Server
This Documentation will show you how to:
1) Create an Air Server account
2) Use Air Server to Mirror your iPads screen onto your computer
*Note: This system will not work using UCInet Mobile Access; you will need to either create a hotspot
with a mobile device or we can provide an Airport Express, a Wifi base station. Please contact Mary
Frances Ypma-Wong for assistance.
Creating an Account
In order to use Air Server, you must first create a free account with them
1. Go to www.airserver.com/Download and click download
2. You will then be prompted to create an account

3. Once you fill out your information a conformation email will be sent to you, open it and click the
link within it.
Downloading, Installing, and Activating Air Server
4. After clicking the link you will be directed to download page. Once you are at the download
page, click “Download Now,” if directed, choose to save the file. Be sure to keep this page open
since it contains your activation code
5. Once it is done downloading open it
a. If you are using Firefox, it will be at the top right of the browser

b. If you are using Chrome, it will be at the bottom left of the browser
6. Once you have opened it, choose to run it.

7. Once it is running follow the instructions given by the Setup Wizard

a. Make sure you accept terms and conditions
8. Enter the activation code that you were given at the download page and select next.

9. Select where you want to save it. The default location that is already written for you is typically
the best.
10. Select to install AirServer (requires administrative privileges).

11. Once it has finished installing, open up AirServer. You will be asked to activate it you can use
either your activation code or the email that you used when you signed up to activate it.
12. Once it is activated it will begin to run and can be found on your task bar (bottom right corner)

13. Right click on AirServer in your task bar to bring up settings, once there take note of the
“Computer name” since that is what you want your iPad to connect to.

14. Check what network you are connected to, since both your computer and your iPad must be
connected to the same one in order for AirServer to work. (Note: This will not work on UCInet
Mobile Access)

15. Once they are on the same connection open up the task bar on your iPad and click AirPlay
a. iOS 7: slide up from the bottom
b. Older Versions: double tap home button
16. Once selected you should be able to see your computer name that was on the AirServer
Settings. Click that and turn on mirroring.

17. You should now be able to see your iPad’s screen on your computer and be able to project it if
your computer is connected to a projector.
