Networked Sound Masking Systems
The industry’s first PoE (power over Ethernet) sound masking system sets the standard for control. Every speaker can be individually configured to receive
one, or more, of eight network audio channels, and the output of one, or more, of four sound masking generators. Privacy Manager software enables
adjustments on a system-wide, per zone, or per speaker basis.
MODULE
DS3008 NETWORKED SOUND MASKING, PAGING, AND MUSIC PROCESSOR
he DS3008 is an eight channel DSP sound masking processor with full networking capability. Each DS3008 has four internal sound

masking generators each having 1/3 octave band EQ. The DS3008 has eight audio inputs for paging and music signals. All eight
audio channels are broadcast via digital network audio to the DS8000 speaker controllers. In addition the DS3008 provides eight
standard balanced audio outputs for use with conventional sound masking networks.
CONTROLLER
DS8000 NETWORKED, POE SPEAKER CONTROLLER WITH FULL DSP
ynasound’s DS8000 speaker controller is the industry’s first power over Ethernet sound masking controller. Power over Ethernet

(PoE) and CAT5 cabling provide power and networked digital audio signals to the DS8000. Each DS8000 has eight speaker outputs
designed to power Dynasound’s DS1356 speakers. Each DS8000 is capable of receiving 8 network audio channels. In addition,
each DS8000 contains four independent sound masking generators each having full 1/3 octave EQ. Each speaker output has
independent control and access to the eight audio network channels and the four internal sound masking generators. A DSP matrix
mixer allows any combination of channels to be delivered to any speaker.
SPEAKERS
DS1356
he DS1356 speaker is designed to be installed above suspended ceilings or in open-structure facilities. Speakers are available in

white or black. The speakers are connected to the outputs of the DS8000 using standard 18 AWG two conductor wire. Speakers are
suspended using a single point suspension. These speakers are 8 ohm speakers and should not be used on 70 volt systems.
DS1390
he DS1390 contains dual, horizontally opposed speakers which produce uniform sound dispersion ideally suited for reverberant

under floor cavities and ceiling plenums. An optional mounting bridge is available for use in ceiling plenums where conventional
sound masking speakers are not applicable (specify DS1390B).
DS1368
he DS1368 contains an eight inch diameter speaker. The premium sized 690 cubic inch enclosure includes a rigid foam acoustical

insert to eliminate standing waves and metallic resonance. Dynasound’s DS1360 / DS1368 sound masking speaker is designed
for quick and easy installation above suspended ceilings and includes a dust-proof perforated steel baffle. The DS1360 / DS1368
provides uniform dispersion and is well suited for sound masking, paging and music signals.

Centralized Sound Masking Systems
Centralized sound masking systems are well suited to environments having uniform acoustical conditions and basic paging requirements. Speakers are “daisychained” together into hard wired zones using standard two conductor audio cable. All speakers in a given zone receive the same audio signal. Complex
multi-channel sound masking, paging and music systems can require large equipment racks containing generators, mixers, equalizers and amplifiers.

DS1092 SOUND MASKING SYSTEM FOR USE WITH 70.7 VOLT SPEAKERS
he DS1092 features digital masking generator with adjustable low pass filter for tuning. The DS1092 incorporates a mixer to

introduce paging and music signals into the system. A 40 watt amplifier provides power for up to 40 speakers, or approximately
10,000 square feet.

DS1338
he DS1338 contains a six-inch diameter speaker mounted off axis. The compact enclosure includes a convoluted, flame-retardant,

acoustical insert to eliminate standing waves and metallic resonance. Dynasound’s DS1338 sound masking speaker is designed
for quick and easy installation into open structure architecture and above suspended ceilings. When suspended, the loudspeaker
assembly offers a clean appearance with no exposed controls or wiring from below. The DS1338 provides uniform dispersion and is
well suited for sound masking, paging and music signals.
DS1390

Distributed Sound Masking System
Distributed systems are a cost-effective approach to small spaces, consisting of perhaps a single speaker or just a few speakers. No centralized or networked
“front-end” equipment is needed.
DS1082 SELF CONTAINED SOUND MASKER
he DS1082 contains a sound masking source, a low pass filter, a sound masking amplifier, and an eight inch diameter loudspeaker.

These are enclosed in a 300 cubic inch acoustically dampened enclosure. The unit’s easily accessible, dedicated volume and tone
control allow the unit to be fine-tuned. The DS1082 comes completely assembled and ready for easy installation. The connection
points are pushed back into the enclosure and the strain reliever screws are tightened to form both strain relief and wire protection.

Eavesdropping and SCIF Protection
When viewed as a six sided enclosure, the breech points of most rooms can be easily identified. Windows are vulnerable to laser listening devices, ductwork
can easily channel sound to adjacent areas and doors form an obvious weak point. Sound transmission through utility penetrations, access floor cavities
and above suspended ceilings can create a lack of confidential privacy. Corporate, government, and military customers have counted on Dynasound

DS1022 ANALOG NON-STATIONARY SECURITY SOUND MASKING PROCESSOR
he DS1022 is designed to provide sound masking for centralized and networked audio security sound masking systems. Each

DS1022 provides two independent analog, non-stationary sound masking generators, each having 1/3 octave band equalization.
Additionally, two balanced line level inputs may be used for signal layering or additional misinformation. Output processing includes
per channel level control for both analog and network audio. The DS1022 should be used where standard digital signals do not
provide adequate protection from adaptive filtering techniques.
SPEAKERS
DS2400 DUCT, PIPE, CONDUIT, AND WALL SOUND MASKER
he DS2400 pipe, duct, and wall sound masker is used to protect pipes, ducts, and walls against human and electronic

eavesdropping by filling them with full bandwidth sound masking. The unit may be attached to the exterior of any pipe or duct,
whether square or round. It may also be attached to the vertical surface of any partition wall. The DS2400 is critical to the securing of
pipes and ducts when DIAM and DCID requirements for SCIF need to be met. Additionally, it resonates the plane of any wall along
the perimeter of a secure environment.
DS2500/DS2530 WINDOW, DOOR, WALL SOUND MASKER
he DS2500 series sound maskers are used to protect windows, walls and doors against human and electronic eavesdropping by

applying full bandwidth sound masking. The unit may be attached to the interior side of any window, door or in some cases wall
surfaces. In all applications the integrity of the surface remains intact. The DS2500 series is critical to the securing of windows, doors
and walls when DIAM and DCID requirements for SCIF need to be met. It is effective against laser eavesdropping techniques, as
well as the use of parabolic microphones.

DS2600 PORTABLE EAVESDROPPING PROTECTION PACK
he DS2600 Portable Eavesdropping Protection (PEP) Pack is a complete, compact, portable eavesdropping protection system designed
T
for offsite or occasional applications. It offers the ability to quickly secure an environment against human and electronic eavesdropping,
as well as advanced signal recovery techniques. The non-deterministic sound masking signal can be layered with additional sources,
such as music, nonsense syllables, and misinformation. This creates a complex signal that renders eavesdropping and signal recovery
methods ineffective, providing an environment safe for sensitive information to be discussed. The system consists of a DS1092 sound
masking generator/mixer/amplifier, eight (8) sound masking devices, standard RCA-type phono plug connector cables to daisy-chain the
entire system, and a flight-approved, atmosphere compensating Pelican Protector Case™. The DS2600 PEP Pack is effective when DIAM
and DCID requirements for SCIF need to be met in offsite or occasional applications. The PEP Pack’s sound masking devices are small and inconspicuous.
The devices can be adhered directly onto a variety of surfaces utilizing a readily available peel-n-stick adhesive. They are easily removed, leaving no adhesive
residue or evidence of their presence. They feature two standard phono jacks, which either jack can be used as the input or throughput.

Dynasound Product Accessories
DS1404 PC PROGRAMMABLE SOUND MASKING LEVEL CONTROLLER
he DS1404 is a four channel, PC programmable, line-level attenuator used primarily to control sound masking levels based on
T
time of day and day of the week. The DS1404 can also be used to provide attenuation schedules for background music and paging
signals. Custom schedules can be created and downloaded to the DS1404 using the provided Windows based software. The
front panel provides buttons for making minor adjustments. The rear panel provides line-level input and output connections via
pluggable connectors, a communications port for serial connection with a PC and by pass controls for each channel. The DS1404
comes preconfigured for a standard Monday through Friday work schedule and may be used without the need to customize a
schedule.
DS1625 SINGLE CHANNEL SOUND MASKING AMPLIFIER FOR 70.7 VOLT SYSTEMS
he DS1625 is a dedicated single-channel amplifier that delivers 250 Watts of power into a 70.7 volt sound masking speaker system.

It is designed for reliable service in permanent installations demanding continuous use and comes complete with short-circuit and
thermal protection with an automatic reset. Input sensitivity selectors, gain controls, and high-pass filter selectors are located on the
rear panel to deter tampering.
DSRMP RACK MOUNT ZONE VOLUME CONTROL PANEL FOR 70.7 VOLT SYSTEMS
he DSRMP-8 rack mounted attenuator panel is designed for use in large 70.7 volt centralized sound masking systems. Each

attenuator is rated at 100 watts. Attenuator increments are 1.5 dB for each 1-10 position. Connections are made with pluggable rear
mounted connectors.
DSDDT12 POWER TRANSFORMER FOR LOW-VOLTAGE DS1082 DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS
he DSSDT Step Down Transformer and Junction Box Assembly is designed to provide localized power to 12-Volt equipment
T
networks. When used in conjunction with Dynasound’s DS1082 self contained sound masker, the complete DSSDT assembly can
provide adequate power for network of up to twenty sound maskers. The DSSDT accepts standard 110VAC and steps down the
voltage to operate 12-Volt devices, meeting all Class Two requirements. The DSSDT features an internal breaker that will protect
the valuable speaker array from destructive power surges. The transformer is available by itself (model number DSSDT12), or for
attachment to an existing electrical box or as a complete transformer/ junction box assembly, specify model number DSSDT12A.
DS2022 RETURN AIR GRILL COVER / ATTENUATOR
he DS2022 return-air grill attenuator is designed for quick and easy installation into ceiling return-air grills in 2x2 suspended ceiling
T
grid systems. The DS2022 is used to acoustically treat open return-air grills for sound masking uniformity by attenuating the amount
of sound that can pass directly through. The DS2022 is sized for a standard 2’-0” X 2’-0” return-air ceiling grill. Its center perforation
allows for the attenuator’s steel planes to pitch upward and create a deflective effect when an acoustical “hot spot” poses a
uniformity problem. When properly installed the DS2022 will attenuate as much as 10 decibel (dB) of sound. The DS2022 is also used
to minimize cross-talk between adjacent closed offices or closed offices bordering open office areas.
