Mobile: Getting Started with Workday for iPhone & Android
Employee
Install and Log in to Workday
From your iPhone/Android:
1.
For iPhone, tap the App Store Application icon. For Android, tap the Play Store
Application icon.
2.
Tap Search and enter “Workday”.
3.
Select Workday from the search results.
4.
Tap Free or Install to install the app. For Android, you will need to tap Accept to
the items Workday is requiring access to. Once the app has downloaded, the
button name changes to Open.
5.
Tap Open.
6.
The first time you use the Workday iPhone app enter some settings. (On an
Android, you will need to agree to the Workday License Terms first)
7.
Tap the Gear icon
8.
Enter masonicvillages into the tenant field.
9.
Enter https://wd5.myworkday.com into the web address field.
to display the Settings window.
10. For iPhone, tap Save. For Android, tap the Back Arrow on the bottom
dashboard. The Login window displays.
11. Enter your User Name and Password.
12. Tap Sign In to log in to Workday.
13. If asked to create a PIN follow the directions as indicated, or skip if desired.

From the Workday Home page:
You can swipe up or down to scroll through available worklets.
Tap any icon to open its corresponding worklet.
Use the Menu to navigate:

Employee
Navigate the Directory
The Directory helps you identify where you and others fit into the overall
structure of the organization. It displays your position within the
department, as well as those of your teammates. Within the Directory, you
can navigate the structure of your department and company by tapping on
individuals up or down through the Directory.

Your Inbox
The Inbox is your personal activity stream. Your Inbox includes
Actions and Notifications, such as: Approvals, To Dos, and status
notifications, etc. that are sent to you by your organization’s
business processes.
From the Inbox worklet:
1. Tap the Actions or Notifications tab to access the
corresponding information.
2. Select an item to view more details.
Search for Employees by Name in Workday
From the Workday Home page:
1. Enter the name of the employee you want to find in the
Search field. Search results display.
From the Directory worklet:
2. Select the search result that matches your search. The
individuals Profile details and contact information display.
1. Select an image or stacked images in the hierarchy to see how groups
and individuals are connected within the organization.
3. Tap the Related Actions
icon to see additional actions

Add Personal Notes
Workday drive (W: drive) (iPhone/iPad only)
Use Personal Notes to store any information about an individual
that is important to remember. Only you, the person creating the
note, will be able to see the Personal Note.
The Workday drive (W: drive) is a virtual drive where you can store your
scheduled and shared reports and access them from your iPhone and iPad.
From an individual’s Profile page:
From the Home page:
1. Tap Personal Notes.
1. Tap the Menu icon.
2. For iPhone, Tap the Plus icon. For Android, tap Add. The Add
Note screen displays.
2. Tap W: drive.
3. Type your note.
3. Tap More Reports and filter your search by Business Object or Report
Tags or specify the number of days created.
4. For iPhone, Tap Done. For Android, tap Add.
You can view the Personal Note anytime from the individual’s
Profile page.
Change your Contact Information
From the Home page:
1. Tap My Profile.
2. Tap the Related Actions icon.
3. Tap Personal. The personal menu displays.
4. Select Change Contact Information. The Change Contact
Information window displays.
5. Tap the information you want to change.
6. Tap the Edit icon and make your edits.
7. Tap Done to close the window.
8. Tap Done again.
Tap Submit. A confirmation page displays and lists any
approval needed.

Change Your Password
From the Home page:
1. Tap the Menu icon.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Change Password.
4. Enter your Current and New Password.
5. Verify your New Password.
6. Tap Done to apply the change. A confirmation displays.
7. Tap Close.
