INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your decision to purchase Sun Bandit® products! Used with other Sun Bandit® products,
the Monitor will improve safety, maximize solar energy harvest, increase system reliability and simplify your
Sun Bandit® system maintenance and management.
The Monitor is a smart ammeter equipped with an advanced Micro Control Unit and a high-precision
electrical energy measurement chip. An LCD screen displays comprehensive performance monitoring
of your Sun Bandit® Microinverter installation.
The Sun Bandit® Monitor is comprised of five key elements:
• Instantaneous Voltage, Current, and Power output
• Peak Voltage/Current history
• Volatile-store reading for a single period and/or
accumulated total power generation
• Time period being measured
• Summary of peak measurements and
accumulated totals
SUN BANDIT® MONITOR
The Monitor is composed of three parts:
• the LCD screen
• the Control Buttons
• the LED Indicator Light
Note: The Monitor screen may flash when the circuit
is open, this does not indicate a fault condition.

MONITOR OPERATION
The Monitor works when connected with a power source. The indicator light and the background light will
be on and the LCD will automatically update the readings every two seconds. The default values are the
instantaneous power and the current time. You can check all the readings or clear the records as you
need using the four buttons:

Power Generation Parameter
The related power generation parameters are shown at the bottom of the LCD SCREEN. Using the three
buttons: MENU, ENERGY and MAX, the Monitor provides access to server parameters. The relevant
information and the unit of measure at the right bottom corner will display clearly on the screen. The voltage and
power will be calculated in 0.1, and the current and generated power will be calculated in 0.001.
Time Parameter
Time records show in the middle of the screen. The Monitor provides two kinds of time period records:
1. the current time (T)
2. the cumulative time (CT)
You can use the MENU, ENERGY and MAX buttons to change the two periods as needed. The smallest time
measurement unit is one minute and the longest cumulative number of hours is 99999.
