1.2 Connecting the backrest to the booster (fig.25) (just if non-assembled)
This child seat can be used with backrest so if backrest (B) and booster (F) are delivered
in a non-assembled way, please follow these instructions to connect both together
before using it for children in group I, II & III:
Lay down the booster on the floor and the backrest flat right behind. Then thread the
connecting hooks (V) on the bottom of the backrest into the fitting holes (W) on the
back of the booster (F) with a firm downwards motion. Now bring the backrest slowly
upright 90° to the booster. The connecting hooks should now slip into the fitting holes
with an audible sound. As a result the backrest should be well fixed to the booster in the
upright position.
It must not slip away now. Otherwise you may not have fixed it very well and using it
would be dangerous. In this case please repeat the first steps of this part of the instruction.

1.3.3. Slackening the harness (fig. 14)
To remove the backrest rotate the backrest to the horizontal position.
Then pull out the backrest from the base.
The harness is slackened by pressing the lever (K) (under the seat cover) on the front
GB
of the seat. Press down on the label marked“Press” as you grip the two shoulder straps
with your other hand. Pull the shoulder straps towards you to loosen the harness.
Take care when you adjust the shoulder straps that you do not trap the harness adjuster
straps as you press the lever down.
1.3.1. Preparation (fig.1a-c)
0.
1.3.2. Height adjustment of the shoulder belts (fig.3, 4, 5)
13
Height adjustment of the shoulder belts (D):
Release the belt ends from the belt anchorage (U) at the back of the seat Slide one of
the harness straps off the belt anchorage (U).
Then from the front of the seat, pull it through the slot (I) in the seat’s backrest and
fabric cover. Thread the harness strap back through the next hole up or down on
the seat’s backrest.
Re-thread the harness strap back onto the belt anchorage (U) at the back of the
seat.
Repeat the same process for the other harness strap. Make sure both of the
straps go through slots at the same height.
19
c-capsula.com
1.3.4. Tightening the harness (fig. 15)
Pull the shoulder straps upwards to remove the slack from the lap sections of the harness
then pull the adjuster strap (H) until the harness is fully tightened.
The harness should be adjusted as tightly as possible without causing discomfort to
your child. Ensure that the lap strap portion of the harness is located as low as possible
towards the thighs-not around the tummy.
A loose harness can be dangerous. Check the harness adjustment and tighten each
time the child is placed in the seat.
co
m
This child seat can be used with the harness for Group I. capsula® MT6 has its own belt
system (D) - the harness belts - which needs to be adjusted to your child‘s size as follows:
Place capsula® MT6 on a normal chair and set your child in it. To ensure
optimum positioning of the belts, make sure that the shoulder belts run down from just
above the child‘s shoulders (fig.1c), not too high above them (fig.1b) and not too low
(fig.1a).
Don‘t leave your child unattended in the seat!
.u
a
1.3. Adjusting capsula® MT6 to your child‘s size
D
Attention: It is recommended to check the belt position very regularly and to adjust it to
the size of your growing child. The belts must lie firmly against the child‘s body and must
not be twisted.
1.3.5. Adjusting the headrest to the child‘s size (fig. 6)
In order to adjust the height of the head rest to your child‘s size push the seat down on
the vehicles seat to keep it there.
1.
Put your hand on the headrest.
2.
With the other hand de-block the head rest de-block lever (L) by pulling it backwards. The red button is on the back of the head rest.

backrest furthest from the car’s seat belt buckle, and then out through the
other seat belt route slot and fasten it into the seat belt buckle.
fig. 18
Check the webbing of the seat belt has not become twisted or tangled and

1.4.1. Conditions for installation
capsula® MT6 may be placed on all passenger seats of the vehicle that are equipped
with a three-point-vehicle-belt. The child seat must not be positioned on a vehicle seat,
which only has a lap belt, example given the centre back seat of cars with
three seats in the back.
1.4.3. Installation and fixing (fig. 16 - 20)
.u
a
3.
Keep the lever de-blocked and pull the head rest simultaneously up or down, as your need, according to the child‘s size.
Relase the lever. The head rest needs to be fixed in one of the guide wholes with an
audible sound. Please check by pulling on the head rest, if it does not move anymore
without pulling the lever. The middle of the head rest needs to be exactly at the height
of the middle of the child‘s head to have the highest side protection effect. The distance between head rest and shoulder of the child should be 2 fingers. The headrest is
adjustable in 7 different positions.
13
0.
1.4.2. Placing on the vehicle seat
Now put capsula® MT6 into the car seat in driving direction.
Your child seat can only be installed forward facing using a three-point lap and
diagonal seat belt in the front or rear passenger seats of the car.
The three-point-belt of a vehicle is made of 4 parts: the lap belt (O), the diagonal belt
(N), the belt latch (P) and the belt buckle (Q).
The safest seating position for this child car seat is on the rear seat of a vehicle.
Do not use this child seat in the home. It has not been designed for home use and
should only be used in your car.

has been removed from the seat belt
Thread the diagonal belt through the belt guide at the headrest and tighten it in the direction of the retracting mechanism. Make sure that the diagonal belt lies firmly against
the child‘s body and is not twisted. Also check that the cover is
not impeding the movement or fit of the seat belt webbing in any way.
To release your child, simply unfasten the seat belt in the normal way.
fig. 25
Rotate the backrest to the horizontal position.
Then pull out the backrest from the base.
Do not fasten the belts in any other way than described here, otherwise the child will
not be held or secured properly. Make sure that the diagonal belt is carefully positioned
and does not run too close to the child‘s neck. All belts must lie firmly against the child‘s
body without twisting. If necessary, install a height adjuster mechanism into the car to
correspond to your child‘s size. Do not attempt to use it without fastening in the car.
Fasten the adult 3-point seat belt across your child. The diagonal section of the belt
must pass across the child‘s chest (not the neck) and go through the red belt hook (M)
on the child’s shoulder.
