channels. The self-diagnostics of circuitry will indicate whether a measurement
channel is short or open circuited (for example, if the connection cable or a
transducer is damaged)

Setting the gain
VD 2+ USB
In this module it is possible to set up gain of the conditioned signal. The gain is set
up with the button GAIN, independently for each channel. The following settings are
available:
x1 (0dB) x10 (20dB) x100 (40dB)
Selected gain is confirmed by the illumination of the corresponding diode
EXCEEDING OF THE ALLOWED LEVEL - OVERLOAD
Getting module ready for work
Please follow the steps to get module ready to do measurements::
1. Connect USB cable to USB connector of VibDAQ module
2. Connect USB cable to PC USB connector
3. Now, wait until module is detected automatically by your system
4. If you are asked for drivers, please use provided CD with drivers
The OVERLOAD diode indicates that for given gain the allowed level is exceeded
One should change gain to this position when signal level
does not exceed measurement range.
Filtering the signal
ATTENTION! In most cases it is not necessary to install drivers for VibDAQ module.
They are included in Windows system.
The FILTER button include into measurement channel the high-pass or low-pass
filters. The corresponding diode illuminates when a given filter is turned on.
The cut-off frequencies are following:
Low-pass filter: 1 kHz
High-pass filter: 10 Hz
Filters can be switched on independently for each channel
Configuration through an USB control port

The VibDAQ device can be controlled through an additional serial port installed in system
(operated by USB port)
