The images on the memory card should be copied to the computer hard disk.
The images can be viewed with DiMAGE Viewer.

Before initially connecting the camera to the computer, place the
DiMAGE Viewer CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive and install the
necessary USB driver.

1. Right click on the “Start” -> “Explore.”
• The screen appearance varies with the operating
system.
2. When the My-Computer window is open, a
removable-disk icon is displayed.
3. Double click on the icon to access the camera’s
memory card. The DCIM folder is displayed.
4. Simply drag and drop the folder from the card to
a location on the computer’s hard drive.
Windows XP/2000 Professional/Me and Mac OS X/9 users do not need a
dedicated Konica Minolta Driver. If a USB driver is not installed, you may have
to insert the computer Operating System-CD-ROM and follow the
accompanying instructions on the screen.

1. Place the DiMAGE Viewer CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive. The DiMAGE
installer menu should automatically activate.

Never disconnect the camera when the
access lamp is lit - the data or memory
card may be permanently damaged.
Confirm the camera is off and the access lamp not lit
before inserting or removing a memory card. If a card is
not inserted, “----” is displayed in the lower right corner
of the monitor. Type I and II CompactFlash cards and
Microdrives are compatible. Open the card-slot door
and insert the card so the face is toward the front of
camera.

How to operate the menu

1. Recording and viewing images on the camera
2. Open the utility folder, and then
open the appropriate OS and
language folders.
While pressing the Dial Lock Release at the center of
the exposure dial, turn the dial to the full-auto program
position. When this mode is selected, some camera
settings are reset automatically. Eg. program exposure
(P), automatic AF, and the wide focus area.

If the driver is properly installed, a drive icon, or volume, should appear in My
Computer when the camera is connected to the computer. If the driver cannot
be installed automatically, it can be installed manually with the operating
system’s add-new-hardware wizard. Follow the instruction in the manual
installation section in the camera instruction manual.
Installing DiMAGE Viewer
Windows Me/2000 Professional/XP
1. Click once on the unplug-or-eject-hardware icon located on
the task bar.
2. Click on the small window to stop the device.
3. The safe-toremove-hardware
window opens.
Click “OK.”
Windows 98/98SE
Confirm that the access lamp is not lit. Turn off the camera and then disconnect
the USB cable.
Mac OS
DiMAGE Viewer is a convenient solution for viewing and processing images
quickly and easily. Images can be viewed with recording information. Images
can be sorted. A wide variety of basic and advanced image processing tools
are available. RAW files can be opened and processed.
