It’s a Fact…
Selecting Music Styles
Making music is an interactive experience with the
E-100/-200. The E-100/-200 includes:

Use the following procedure to select a Music Style
from internal memory:
1. Press the ARRANGER button in the ONE
TOUCH PROGRAM section (located under the
screen) until ARRANGER appears on the
screen.
2. Select a style family (e.g. Pop, Ballad, Oldies,
etc.) using the numeric keypad in the STYLE
section (located to the right of the screen.)
3. Use the arrow buttons under SELECT to locate a
style.
4. Play a note on the lower half of the keyboard
(you should hear a short introduction followed by
a repetitive loop.)
Intializing—Restoring Factory
Settings
Use the following procedure to clear the internal
memory and reload the factory settings:
Caution: All USER information will be lost. Be sure to
back up any information you wish to keep.

Turn the power off.
While holding down the USER PROGRAM
button (located to the right of the screen), turn
the power on.
Factory settings are restored when “Factory!”
appears on the screen.

Selecting Tones
Use the following procedure to select a tone:
1. Press the PIANO button in the ONE TOUCH
PROGRAM section (located under the screen.)
2. Press a tone button (e.g. Piano, Organ,
Guitar/Bass, etc.) in the TONE section (located
to the right of the screen.)
3. Use the arrow buttons under SELECT to locate a
tone.
Refer to the Owner’s Manual, pg. 11 for more
information.
Note: Press the DRUM & BASS, COMBO, or FULL
BAND button in the BAND ORCHESTRATOR section
(located to the left of the screen) to alter the
orchestration of the music style.

Press the ENDING button in the ARRANGER &
SONG CONTROLS section (located to the left of
the screen) to hear a musical ending or press the
START/STOP button to silence the instrument.

Use the following procedure to select a Music Style
from disk (E-200 only):
1. Insert a compatible Music Styles Disk (i.e. MSA,
MSD, MSE) into the drive.
2. Press the ARRANGER button in the ONE
TOUCH PROGRAM section (located under the
screen) until ARRANGER appears on the
screen.
3. Press the DISK button in the STYLE section
(located to the right of the screen.)
4. Use the arrow buttons under SELECT to locate a
style.
5. Play a note on the lower half of the keyboard
(you should hear a short introduction followed by
a repetitive loop.)
6. Press the ENDING button in the ARRANGER &
SONG CONTROLS section (located to the left of
the screen) to hear a musical ending or press the
START/STOP button to silence the instrument.

Selecting One Touch Programs
Recording a Song
Use the following procedure to select automatic
accompaniment settings:
1. Select a Music Style as described under
“Selecting Music Styles.”
2. While playing notes on the upper half of the
keyboard, press the OTP1/OTP2 button (located
under the screen) to select an alternate
automatic accompaniment (i.e. OTP2); press the
OTP1/OTP2 button again to return to the original
setting (i.e. OTP1.)
Use the following procedure to Record a Song using
automatic accompaniment:
1. Press the REC button (located to the left of the
screen.)
Note: OTP1 and OTP2 are right-hand tone settings
that are most commonly associated with a chosen
style. If you press the DUAL button in the
KEYBOARD CONTROL section (located to the left of
the screen) before proceeding with steps 1-2 above,
you will hear “dual” versions of OTP1 and OTP2.

Note: “Rec ALL” should appear on the screen. If it
does not, then use the left arrow button under
FAMILY to locate “Rec ALL” on the screen.

Select a Music Style as described under
“Selecting Music Styles.”
Select an automatic accompaniment setting (i.e.
OTP1 or OTP2) as described under “Selecting
One Touch Programs” or a Music Assistant
registration as described under “Selecting Music
Assistants.”
Play a note on the lower half of the keyboard to
start the automatic accompaniment; play a
melody on the upper half of the keyboard.
Press the ENDING button (located to the left of
the screen) to end the song.
When “INT_SONG” appears on the screen,
press the PLAY button to play the song.

Use the following procedure to select a Music
Assistant registration:
1. Press the MUSIC ASSISTANT button (located to
the right of the screen) until lit.
2. Use the arrow buttons under FAMILY to locate a
musical genre (e.g. Ballad, Ballroom, Dancing,
etc.)
3. Use the arrow buttons under SELECT to locate a
specific Music Assistant.
4. Play a note on the lower half of the keyboard
(you should hear a short introduction followed by
a repetitive loop.)
5. Press the ENDING button in the ARRANGER &
SONG CONTROLS section (located to the left of
the screen) to hear a musical ending or press the
START/STOP button to silence the instrument.

Playing a Song from Disk (E-200 only)
Use the following procedure to play a song from disk:
1. Insert a compatible SMF music disk into the
drive.
2. Press the SONG button (located to the right of
the screen) until lit.
3. Press the right arrow button under FAMILY until
“Disk” appears on the screen.
4. Use the arrow buttons under SELECT to locate a
specific song.
5. Press the START/STOP button (located under
the screen) to play the song.
6. Press the START/STOP button to silence the
piano.
