How to access the Remote Desktop via your iPad / iPhone / iPod You will be able to setup access to the Remote Desktop on all the devices mentioned above, but we would recommend only using this on an iPAD device as it could be fiddly on other devices. Load up the App Store and search for ‘Microsoft Remote Desktop’ Install the App by clicking the ‘Install’ button. You may be prompted to enter your Apple ID password. The App will install onto your iPAD and is now ready to run. The icon is called RD Client. Click on the App to open it and Choose ‘New Remote Desktop’ Enter the following details. Connection Name: St. Bede’s PC Name: mydesktop.stbedes.durham.sch.uk Then click on the save button once complete. Now when you click on St. Bede’s it will start to connect, on the next screen you don’t need to populate the Username and Password options as these will be completed later. Click on the Logon button to view the standard logon box. Click on the keyboard icon at the top of the screen to display the Keyboard and logon using your normal network logon details.
