equipment and high speed are needed in
object detection, special lenses are
required – lenses that combine excellent
refocusing capabilities with a ruggedness
that ensures a long service life, even in
harsh environments.
The new flo.x 2.8/3.35 mm lens developed by Qioptiq with internal high-speed
liquid lens refocusing maintains a constant image quality over a large object
distance range. The first lens in this new series is extremely compact and features
virtually constant high resolution, excellent color correction, and minimal
brightness drop over a long service life. The autofocus function is implemented
entirely without moving parts.
The new flo.x inspection lens series exemplifies Qioptiq's own high standards, with the
sophisticated electronic focusing optics packaged in a compact housing – just 22 mm
long with a diameter of 16 mm – that can withstand even the roughest conditions. The
flo.x is ideal for industrial inspection applications that require not only a long service
life of all components, but also maximum image quality with a refocus function. The
short focal length of 3.35 mm is perfect for the 4 mm image diameter and thus for a ¼"
sensor. The fixed aperture makes the lens easy to use in even the tightest spaces while
helping to prevent operator error.
Like all inspection lenses from Qioptiq, the flo.x can be integrated in tailored solutions
for specific customer requirements.
