Headset use on Alcatel-Lucent 8 series and
Alcatel-Lucent 9 series Sets
Headset use is available on all Alcatel-Lucent 8 series and Alcatel-Lucent 9 series sets (except for AlcatelLucent IP Touch 4008/4018 Phone and Alcatel-Lucent 4019 Digital Phone sets)
Headsets to the set's RJ9 connector

Plug the headset into the socket reserved for the telephone receiver (located beneath the
telephone).

To put the headset into or out of operation, press the headset key on the set which has
been programmed.
Headsets to the set's jack connector

Plug the headset into the headset socket located on the left hand side of the set
o
By default the system automatically detects it and sends audio to the set, (If necessary, go
to the Menu page, select Settings > phone > Jack Plug and select the Headset option).
To Answer a call: use the ‘Take call’ dynamic key when the set rings, on a multi-line set, the call can be
taken by pressing the line key.
To Make a Call: Dial normally or use the set's directory keys.
To End a Call: The call is automatically disconnected when the correspondent ends the call or press the
to end the call.

To Transfer a call: whilst on a call , dial the extension number you wish to put the call through to and
select the ‘Transfer’ dynamic key to put the call through or select the ‘Enquiry off’ dynamic key to return
back to the caller.
