The 15” panel can be used in a number of ways including inside a laptop case, on a desk or on the user’s lap. How it works Internally it has a crystalline compound – Sodium Sulfate Dechaydrate which is a Phase Change Material. The compound sits approximately 5oC below room temperature and as your laptop heats up the material inside begins to melt, making it a great thermal capacitor. Essentially you can think of it as absorbing the heat from your laptop and redistributing it within its structure (so changing from solid to liquid and then back to solid again when the laptop is removed).
