Immersive Audio

HDMI 1.3 - The simultaneous transfer of up-to eight channels of high-defi nition audio over a single cable means easy setup and freedom from the tangle of wires that usually goes hand in hand with HD audio setups.

HD Audio: PowerDVD 9 supports Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, ensuring crystal clear high-defi nition audio via home theater sound systems. These technologies deliver audio reproduction identical to the studio master recording—carrying up to 24-bit audio on up to 8 discrete audio channels at 96 kHz or 2 channels at 192 kHz. Virtual Surround - In addition to TrueTheater Surround, PowerDVD 9 includes additional virtual surround sound and headphone technologies: Dolby Headphones and Dolby Virtual Speaker.

Virtual surround sound technology simulates 5.1 channels of sound in a two-channel environment, getting the most from two-channel speaker systems as well as stereo headphones.

Cinema Mode

PowerDVD 9 has two diff erent playback modes to support watching movies up close on a PC or

Notebook as well as from a distance on larger displays such as TVs. With the click of a button, a user can switch from classic mode to Cinema Mode that displays menu items and movie information in a larger format. Not only is it easier on the eyes but it’s perfectly suited to operation via remote control.

Because Cinema Mode is built to integrate with Microsoft Windows Media Center, users of Media

Center PCs can now enjoy Blu-ray playback support as well!

With PowerDVD 9, users can keep track of all the fi lms they watch and own, whether Blu-ray Disc or

DVD. PowerDVD 9’s built in library feature, Movie Collection, stores information from all DVDs and

Blu-ray Discs played on PowerDVD 9, and allows users to input their own information such as starratings and reviews. All information input into PowerDVD’s library can then be synced with a MoovieLive account/profi le at www.moovielive.com to be shared with others online.
