Mini-Duct Indoor Design
The model D-IDU indoor unit allows customers to conceal the indoor unit behind a
vent screen, or to create a small plenum or mini-duct system to share the capacity
of the ACDC12 across multiple adjacent rooms.
This is a low static pressure unit and is designed for very short ducts or direct room
vents, it is not designed for a standard duct system.
Mini-Duct Control Options
The ACDC12B uses 3 solar panels.
The mini-duct system can use a wired remote in addition to the ACDC12B standard
wireless remote control. The wired remote must be positioned such that the
remote control can communicate with it via infra-red wireless control. Use of the
wireless remote is optional, installation of the wired remote is required. The wired
remote contains the infra-red wireless receiver.
About the ACDC12B
The ACDC12B Hybrid solar air conditioner runs on DC power directly
from solar panels, without needing an inverter, controller, or batteries.
The solar DC power directly replaces and reduces some of the power
normally required from the utility company and can cut daytime energy
costs for air conditioning or heating by up to 90%.
During the day, the ACDC12B can get most of its power from solar,
resulting in an efficiency above SEER 65 when using a minimum of 3
300W solar PV panels*. The system is designed for hybrid operation with
solar providing most of the energy needed during daylight hours and
supplements with grid power as the incoming DC energy decreases.
