Installation Instructions

The Ameri*Can Telecom Inc. SL PTG012

Phone and Charging Station is a wall mount or desktop enclosure designed for

SpectraLink pocket phones and battery changers. It includes a hinged dust cover with a key lock and holds up to 12

SpectraLink Phones and 12 battery chargers.

Charger Installation

The SL PTG012 SpectraLink Phone and Charging station is shipped with its power supply and charger regulator boards installed, and with their distribution jacks routed and configured, as illustrated here:

At the front of the unit:

1. Lift open the front door of the enclosure.

2. Locate the pre-drilled hole-pairs, and identify the pairs that will be used to mount the individual battery chargers (refer to the photo at the top of this page).

3. Attach each PTQ365 charger to the housing using two (2) nylon spacers (p/n

180100-00) under the charger, and two (2) #6-19 screws (p/n 180012-00) per charger.

4. Plug a power supply jack into each charger.

5. Plug in the AC power cord to turn power on. Verify that each charger LED is lit solid red.

6. Place a SPECTRALINK battery into each charger position.

Verify that each charger LED is lit solid green.

Enclosure Installation

The SL PTG012 SpectraLink Phone and Charging station can be placed on a table or can be wall mounted. When wall mounted, the enclosure can be mounted horizontally or vertically, using a Philips screwdriver and the included mounting hardware. To mount the

SL PTG012 Station to the wall, install the enclosure as follows:

1. Locate the four screws and anchors supplied with the kit.

2. Position the enclosure on the wall in the location it will be mounted. Ensure that it’s at the appropriate height, and level; mark the position of the four mounting holes, forming a rectangle 26” by 4 3/8”. Refer to the illustration below. Note: If the wall is wallpapered, use a razor to cut the area around the mark before drilling.

3. Use a 1/8” bit to drill the pilot holes for the wall anchors to mount the enclosure.

4. Insert the anchors into the drilled holes. For vertical mounting, install two screws in the side hanger holes and for horizontal hanging, place the two screws in the top hanger holes.

5. Hang the Enclosure on the “key holes” located on the rear of the Enclosure.

Install the two remaining screws in holes located in the storage pockets of the enclosure.
