WARRANTY

Crosley Radio Products are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 90 days beginning from the date of sale to the original purchaser.

Should the unit fail under normal usage during the 90 day warranty period, a request for RETURN AUTHORIZATION (R.A.) must be made by the original customer before returning the unit. Call Crosley Radio customer service for

Return Authorization at (502) 583-4246 from 9 AM to 5 PM (EST) Monday to

Friday.

Upon receiving the RETURN AUTHORIZATION number from the Customer

Service Department, properly pack your unit in its original packaging. Include any adapters, parts, & accessories which were originally provided with the product, along with a check or money order for $19.95 made out to Crosley

Radio to cover the handling and return postage. Display the R.A. # on the outside of the carton and ship PREPAID via standard UPS or its equivalent.

The purchaser’s bill of sale is the only proof of warranty entitlement and must accompany the unit.

The warranty does not cover damage due to acts of nature, accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, commercial use or modification of, or to any part of the product. This warranty does not cover damage due to improper operation or maintenance, connection to improper voltage supply, or attempted repair by anyone other than a facility authorized by Crosley Radio to service the product. This warranty does not cover products sold AS

IS or consumables (such as fuses or batteries). This warranty is valid only in the United States.

This warranty gives the purchaser specified legal rights in addition to any rights which may vary from state to state.

In accordance with the "Moss-Magnuson Warranty Act" of July 10, 1975, this is termed a "limited warranty" which in no way compromises Crosley Radio‚ high standards of Quality and Workmanship.

4. Follow Instructions - All operating and use instructions should be followed.

5. Cleaning - Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.

6. Attachments - Do not use attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer as they may cause hazards.

7. Water and Moisture - Do not use this product near water - for example, near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, or laundry tub; in a wet basement; or near a swimming pool; and the like.

Consult your product dealer or local power company. For products intended to operate from battery power, or other sources, refer to the operating instructions.

11. Grounding or Polarization - This product may be equipped with a polarized alternating-current line plug (a plug having one blade wider than the other). This plug will fit into the power outlet only one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet try reversing the plug, If the plug should still fail to fit, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.

12. Power - Cord Protection - Power - supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the product.

Polarized Plug unattended and unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system. This will prevent damage to the product due to lightning and power - line surges.

14. Power Lines - An outside antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overhead power lines or other electric light or power circuits, or where it can fall into such power lines or circuits. When installing an outside antenna system, extreme care should be taken to keep from touching such power lines or circuits as contact with them might be fatal.

15. Overloading - Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or integral convenience receptacles as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock.

16. Object and Liquid Entry - Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short - out parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product.

Troubleshooting

There is no Power

Make sure the radio is plugged in correctly.

Check to see that the power button is pushed in.

There is no Sound

Check the volume level by turning the volume knob.

Turntable will not work

Make sure the function switch is set to phono.

Make sure the needle cover is flipped up.

CD does not play

1

Check to make sure CD is inserted correctly

(label side facing up).

Check that the surface of the CD is clean

Make sure function switch is set to CD.

Turntable is dragging

1 Make sure the Turntable Suspension Screws are turned clockwise all the way in to allow the turntable to sit on the suspension.

CD Operation

Repeat Playback

1

To repeat a single track, choose the track that you want to repeat, then press the PLAY/PAUSE

BUTTON (22) to start the track. Press the

REPEAT BUTTON (19) once to repeat this track.

The REPEAT INDICATOR (20) will flash.

To repeat all tracks, press the PLAY/PAUSE

BUTTON (22) to start the CD. Press the REPEAT

BUTTON (19) twice to repeat all tracks. Once the CD ends, it will start over again from the beginning of the CD. The REPEAT INDICATOR

(20) will remain on.

To erase the repeat function, press the REPEAT

BUTTON (19) again until the REPEAT

INDICATOR (20) is off.

Cassette Operation

Cassette Operation

Slide the FUNCTION SWITCH (8) to the TAPE position.

Insert a prerecorded tape through the CASSETTE

DOOR (25).Tape will slide into the cassette mechanism and start playing.

Adjust the volume level by turning the VOLUME

KNOB (9).

For fast forwarding, press the CASSETTE

EJECT/F.F (24) half way in. Pressing again, will stop the fast forwarding and return the

cassette to the playing mode.

To stop and eject the cassette,press the

CASSETTE EJECT/F.F (24) in completely.

When one side of the tape finishes playing, the cassette will automatically stop.

Note:Remove the tape from the unit when it is not in use or stopped.

CD Operation

Playing A CD

Slide the FUNCTION SWITCH (8) to the CD position.

Press the OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON (18) to open the CD DRAWER (13). Choose your selected disc tray by sliding the CD tray manually, and then place a disc in the tray with labeled side of the disc facing up.

Press the OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON (18)again to close the CD DRAWER (13). The display will show “ - - “for a few seconds, then the total number of tracks on the disc will be displayed.

If there’s no disc in the tray 1, it will read the tray 2 & 3 automatically. “00” will be shown when there’s no disc in the CD DRAWER (13).

Press the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON (22) to start playback. The PLAY/PAUSE INDICATOR (23) will light up.

Adjust the VOLUME KNOB (9) to the desired volume level.

To pause playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE

BUTTON (22). The PLAY/PAUSE INDICATOR

(23) will flash. Press the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON

(22) again to resume playback.

To stop playback, press the STOP BUTTON(21) and the PLAY/PAUSE INDICATOR (23) will go off.

Repeat Playback

To repeat a single track, choose the track that you want to repeat, then press the PLAY/PAUSE

BUTTON (22) to start the track. Press the

Search Forward And Reverse During Play

Press and hold the FORWARD SKIP BUTTON

(6) or the BACKWARD SKIP BUTTON (7) to search forward or backward through the selected track.

Release the button at the desired point, playback will resume automatically.

Disc Selection

Press DISC SKIP - (5) or DISC SKIP + (4) to select the desired disc, the DISC INDICATOR

(10.11.12) will flash.

Press the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON (22) to start playback.

Turntable Operation Radio Operation

Accessory: Adapter for 45 rpm

To play the 45 rpm record, place the adapter in the center of record. This unit includes six adapters found in the polybag of the instruction manual.

Radio Operation

Slide the FUNCTION SWITCH (8) to the Radio position.

Slide the AM/FM SWITCH (17) to the desired tuning band.

Select the desired radio station by rotating

TUNING KNOB (16).

Adjust the VOLUME KNOB (9) to the desired sound level.

Antenna

Antenna: for FM reception, the unit is provided with a FM WIRE ANTENNA (35) , move the wire until the reception is clear and with no interferences. For

AM reception, the unit is provided with a directional build-in ferrite antenna. Rotate the set to find the position in which the best reception is obtained. Do not connect the FM WIRE ANTENNA (35) to any outside antenna.

Getting Started

Unpacking

Remove packing materials from unit.

Note: Save all packing materials.

Remove plastic bag covering unit.

Remove plastic safety cover form A/C PLUG

Remove tie from A/C Cord and untie ANTENNA

WIRE (31) on the back of Radio.

Open lid and remove styrofoam shipping material from turntable.

Remove black tie-wrap from under the tone arm.

Using your Fingers,Turn the Turntable

Suspension Screw (22) clockwise until it is all the way down. Do not force it. This allows turntable to float on its shock absorbers.

Power Source

Unwind the AC POWER CORD (36) at the back of the unit and connect it to a power outlet.

Plug A/C cord into appropriate outlet.

Remove the protecting Rubbers form the turntable.

The sound from all speakers is cut off.

Assembly

To assemble legs, carefully place unit on its

TOP.

Place the legs into position in all 4 corners.

Insert 2 screws, located inside the styrafoam packaging, into each leg.

Hand tighten with #2 Phillips head screwdriver.

Carefully turn unit upright onto legs.

Turntable Operation

Selectable 33/45/78 rpm speeds.

Load up to 6 records at a time.

Plays 7”, 10”, and 12” records.

Record changer is fully automatic or can be operated manually.

Turntable Instructions

1

Turn power on by pressing POWER BUTTON(9).

2

Rotate the FUNCTION SWITCH (8) to PHONO mode.

Lift TENSION ARM (28) and rotate counterclockwise over the TONE ARM (29).

Load desired records on the CENTER SPINDLE

(27). Records should be loaded one at a time.

Lift TENSION ARM (28) and rotate it clockwise over the records and release. TENSION ARM

(28) will automatically pull down onto the records.

Set the SIZE SELECT SWITCH (30) to the correct size of your records.

Set the SPEED SELECT SWITCH (33) to the correct speed of your records.

Move the TURNTABLE SWITCH (32) to the “ON” position. Turntable will begin to turn.

Flip the needle cover up.

To stop playback manually, move the TURNTABLE

SWITCH (32) to the “OFF” position. Gently lift the TONE ARM (29) from the record and return it to the TONE ARM REST (31).

To remove the records from the turntable, lift the

TENSION ARM (28) up and rotate it counterclockwise over the TONE ARM (29). Grab the edges of the bottom record and lift straight up.

Tone Arm Adjustment

Move the TURNTABLE SWITCH (28) to “AUTO”.

The switch will automatically return back to the

“ON” position and the first record will drop. The

TONE ARM (25) will automatically lift and move to the beginning of the record. Once the first record is finished, the TONE ARM (25) will move back to the TONE ARM REST (27) and the next record will drop. The TONE ARM (25) will move back to the beginning of the record. This will repeat until the last record is finished. When the last record is finished, the TONE ARM (25) will return to its rest and the turntable will shut off.

To manually switch to the next record during playback, move the TURNTABLE SWITCH (8) to the “AUTO” position. The next record will drop and begin to play.

Adjust this screw if the TONE ARM(29) is not raising high enough to clear to the TONE ARM

REST(31). Turn the screw counter-clockwise to raise the height. Turn the screw clockwise to lower the height.

Adjust this screw if the TONE ARM(29) drops on the record too early or too late. Turn the screw counter-clockwise to start at a later point.

Turn the screw clockwise to start at an earlier point.

Adjust the screw if you feel there is not enough tone arm pressure on the record. Turn the screw counter-clockwise to increase pressure. Turn the screw clockwise to descrease the pressure.

Note : Adjust the screws one turn at a time and check the adjustment after each turn.
