To avoid battery leakage: • Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium). • Insert batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment. • Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted batteries from the toy. Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of the product in a fire. The batteries inside may explode or leak. • Never short-circuit the battery terminals. • Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type, as recommended. • Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries. • Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging. • If removable, rechargeable batteries are used, they are only to be charged under adult supervision. • Slide the soft giraffe up to access the battery compartment. • Loosen the screws in the battery compartment door with a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the battery compartment door. • Insert three “C” (LR14) alkaline batteries. Hint: We recommend using alkaline batteries for longer battery life. • Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten. • Slide the soft giraffe back down to cover the battery compartment. • If this toy begins to operate erratically, you may need to reset the electronics. Slide the power/ volume switch off and then back on. • When sounds or lights become faint or stop, it’s time for an adult to change the batteries! • Protect the environment by not disposing of this product with household waste (2002/96/EC). Check your local authority for recycling advice and facilities (Europe only). 3 Consumer Information Please keep this instruction sheet for future reference, as it contains important information. Hub 2 Leaf Butterfly Arch • "Snap" the butterfly arch into the bottom of the hub, as shown. Button 4 • Insert the button at the bottom of each tube into the slot in each corner of the mat. 5 Music, Lights and Nature Sounds! WARNING To prevent entanglement injury, never place the gym in a crib or playpen. Lights and music respond to baby’s movement. 6 Storage and Care Mat • Remove the arches and activity toys from the mat. • Machine wash the mat inside a pillow case in cold water on the gentle cycle. Do not use bleach. Line dry the mat. Arches and Activity Toys • Wipe with a clean cloth dampened with a mild soap and water solution.
