HDMI-TPS-TX90/RX90 Quick Start Guide | Manualzz

Introduction

The HDMI-TPS-TX90 and HDMI-TPS-RX90 are HDMI 1.4 compatible long distance Twisted

Pair (TP) extenders. The units offer bi-directional RS-232, Infra-Red, and Ethernet pass-through all on the same CAT5e...CAT7 cable that carries the video signal.

Typical application

Installation

HDMI-TPS-TX90 and RX90 extender pair

1. Check the switch on the front panel, it must be in Normal position,

2. Connect a CATx cable to the TPS OUTPUT on the TX90 transmitter,

3. Connect the other end of the CATx cable to the TPS INPUT on the RX90 receiver,

4. Connect an HDMI source (e.g. computer) to the HDMI INPUT on the TX90,

5. Connect an HDMI display device (e.g. projector) to the HDMI OUTPUT on the RX90,

6. To use the bi-directional pass-trough data lines optionally connect desired devices to the

TX90 transmitter and RX90 receiver units:

6a. Ethernet*

▪ Connect an Ethernet device (e.g. switch) to the Ethernet port on TX90 with LAN cable,

▪ Connect a network device (e.g. projector) to the Ethernet port on RX90 with LAN cable,

6b. RS-232*

▪ Connect a controller unit (e.g. Touch panel) to the RS-232 on TX90 with serial cable,

▪ Connect a controlled device (e.g. Projector) to the RS-232 on RX90 with serial cable,

6c. Infra-Red*

▪ Connect the supplied IR emitter to the IR OUT on TX90,

▪ Connect the supplied IR detector to the IR IN on RX90,

7. Supply either unit with 12V 1A DC. The other one gets remote supply trough the CATx cable.
