GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION

When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and injury to persons, including the following:

Read all instructions before using this Fan.

1. Make certain the power source conforms to the electrical requirements of the Fan.

2. Make certain that the room is equipped with a working smoke detector.

3. Use this Fan only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electrical shock, or injury to persons.

4. To reduce the risk of personal injury and electric shock, the Fan should not be played with or placed where small children can reach it.

5. Unplug power cord before installing, servicing, or moving the Fan.

DO NOT DEPEND ON THE ON/OFF SWITCH AS THE SOLE MEANS OF DISCONNECTING POWER WHEN SERVICING

OR MOVING THE FAN. ALWAYS UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. ALWAYS TURN OFF AND UNPLUG FAN BEFORE

8. Completely assemble Fan, according to instructions, before connecting to power supply.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. Match wide blade of plug to wide slot. Fully insert. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this safety feature.

This plug is a safety feature. It contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. Discard product if the attachment plug is damaged. 9. Where possible, avoid the use of extension cords because the extension cord may overheat and cause a fire. If you must use an extension cord, minimize the risk of overheating by using the shortest cord possible and ensuring that it is UL listed. NEVER use a single extension cord to operate more than one Fan. Do not plug Fan into any other cord connected device, such as a power strip, cord reel, surge protector, multiple outlet adapters or outlet-type air fresheners. The use of such devices may create a fire hazard.

10. NEVER operate any Fan with a damaged cord or plug or after the Fan malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.

There are no user serviceable parts.

FUNCIONAMIENTO

Este Ventilador podrá hacerse funcionar mediante los controles manuales ubicados en la parte superior de la unidad (como se indica en la Figura 1) o con el Control Remoto

(como se indica en la Figura 2).

1. Cuidadosamente retire el Ventilador de la caja.

2. Coloque el ventilador sobre una superficie firme y nivelada.

3. Todas las funciones realizadas con el Control Remoto pueden realizarse de igual forma con los Controles

Manuales.

4. No mezcle baterías viejas y nuevas. No mezcle baterías alcalinas, estándar (carbono-cinc) o recargables (níquelcadmio).

3. Conecte el cable eléctrico a un tomacorriente de 120 voltios.

4. Para ajustar la direccion del aire, simplemente jire la cabeza del ventilador.

5. La cremallera con un adjuste de mantendra el ventilador en la posicion deseada.

Nota: El ensamble de la cremallera en el Wind Tunnel Remote esta disenada para que trabe en cada posicion. Asi que cuando ajuste el angulo del ventilador oira un sonido lo cual es normal.

6. Conecte la energía eléctrica a su ventilador pulsando el Botón

Encendido ( ) en el Ventilador.

7. VELOCIDAD DEL VENTILADOR: Ahora puede ajustar la velocidad del ventilador al nivel deseado - 3 (alta), 2 (mediana) ó

1 (baja) - pulsando el Botón Velocidad del Ventilador ( ) en el Ventilador. (Figura 1)

8. FUNCIÓN DE TEMPORIZADOR: Este ventilador está equipado con un temporizador que le permite a usted establecer la duración de la operación oprimiendo el Botón de Temporizador

( ) manualmente en el área de control del ventilador, o presionando el Botón Temporizador ( ) en el control remoto. Pulse la tecla una vez para uno hora de funcionamiento, dos veces para dos horas y tres veces para cuatro horas. Si se pulsa por cuarta vez, el ventilador vuelve al modo de funcionamiento continuo.

9. Después de apagar el Ventilador, desconecte la unidad del tomacorriente eléctrico.

PARA MONTAR EN LA PARED:

ESTE VENTILADOR se DEBE MONTAR EN UNA SUPERFICIE PLANA

ESTRUCTURALMENTE SOLIDA.

Sólo uso #6-32 X 1" tornillos para montar este Ventilador. La longitud del tornillo debe ser lo suficientemente larga para ajustarse al clavo pared. Si un clavo no puede ser montado ni si el Ventilador se monta en una pared utilice unas anclas mas covenientes para este tipo de montaje.

Al montar el Ventilador a la pared, el cable de conexión se debe colocar por fuera del cuerpo del Ventilador.

6. Este Ventilador NO debe ser usado en lugares potencialmente peligrosos tales como atmósferas inflamables, explosivas, cargadas de sustancias químicas o húmedas donde se usen o almacenen gasolina, pintura o líquidos inflamables.

7. NO use el Ventilador dentro de o cerca de una ventana. La lluvia podría crear un riesgo eléctrico.

13. No coloque el cable de corriente debajo de alfombras. No cubra el cable de corriente con tapetes, alfombras estrechas o artículos de coberturas similares. No coloque el cable de corriente debajo de muebles o artefactos. Coloque el cable de corriente lejos del tráfico de la habitación, donde las personas no se tropiecen con éste.

14. Este Ventilador no está destinado para ser usado en lugares húmedos o mojados. NUNCA coloque un Ventilador donde pueda caer dentro de una tina de baño u otro recipiente de agua. NUNCA use un Ventilador donde se usen o almacenen líquidos inflamables.

15. NUNCA use el Ventilador al aire libre.

16. Cuando use el control remoto de su televisor u otro equipamiento, verifique para controlar que no encienda el Ventilador también.

17. Mantenga la unidad de control remoto del Ventilador lejos de sillas y de su cama donde exista la posibilidad de que alguien se siente encima, deposite elementos sobre él o encienda el Ventilador inadvertidamente.

18. Este Ventilador no es adecuado para usar en instalaciones de agricultura incluyendo áreas donde se almacene ganado, aves de corral u otros animales. Por favor consulte el Articulo 547-7 (2008) del Código Eléctrico Nacional (NEC), o los códigos o normas estatales o locales aplicables con relación a los requisitos eléctricos para edificios destinados a las agricultura. ESTE VENTILADOR

OPERATION

This Fan may be operated by the manual controls located on top of the unit (as shown in Figure 1) or by the Remote Control

(shown in Figure 2).

1. Carefully remove the Fan from the plastic bag and the carton.

2. Place the Fan on a firm and level surface.

Be sure that the plug fits tightly into outlet.

When plugs fit loosely into receptacles, they may slip partially or completely out of the receptacle with only the slight movement of the attached cord.

Receptacles in this condition may overheat and pose a serious fire hazard; if covered by a curtain or drape, the fire hazard is even greater.

REMOTE CONTROL

(Figure 2)

1. Install batteries (not supplied) as shown in Figure 2. The battery is type “AAA”.

2. The Remote Control Power Button is labeled as ( ).

3. All the functions performed with the Remote Control work identically to the Manual Controls.

4. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.

5. DO NOT DISPOSE OF BATTERIES IN FIRE. BATTERIES MAY

EXPLODE OR LEAK.

3. Plug the cord set into a 120 volt outlet.

4. To adjust direction of air, simply tilt the head of the fan.

5. The ratchet adjustment will securely locate and hold the fan in the desired position.

Note:

The ratchet assembly on the Wind Tunnel Remote is designed for positive lock positioning. Therefore, when adjusting the fan angle, you will hear a clicking sound. This is normal.

6. Apply power to your fan by pushing the Power Button ( ).

7. FAN SPEED: You may now adjust the fan speed to the desired level, 3 (High), 2 (Medium), or 1 (Low) by pressing the Fan Speed

Button ( ) on the Fan. (Figure 1)

8. TIMING FUNCTION: This fan is equipped with a timer that allows you to set the length of operation by pressing the Timer

Button ( ) manually on the control area of the fan, or by pressing the Timer Button ( ) on the remote control. Press it once for one hour, twice for two hours, a third time for four hours. A fourth time will reset the fan to continuous running mode

9. After turning the Fan off, unplug the unit from the electrical outlet.

WALLMOUNT:

THIS FAN MUST BE MOUNTED ON A STRUCTURALLY SOLID

FLAT SURFACE.

Only use #6-32 X 1" screws to mount this Fan. The screw length must be long enough to engage the wall stud. If a stud cannot be found or if the Fan is mounted on a masonry wall, obtain suitable mounting anchors.

When mounting the Fan to the wall, the cord set MUST BE located outside the Body of the Fan and the Yoke of the Fan.

MAINTENANCE

To reduce the risk of electrical shock and fire please observe the following instructions:

- Always unplug the cord before moving, servicing or cleaning.

- NEVER place the Fan in or near water.

- Clean the Fan only with a vacuum equipped with a brush attachment; the vacuum will remove the lint

and dirt from inside the Fan.

- NEVER attempt to take apart the Fan.

- Clean the body of the Fan with a soft cloth only.

- NEVER use ALCOHOL or SOLVENTS such as gasoline, benzene, paint thinner, or other harsh cleaners.

WHAT THIS WARRANTY COVERS: This product is warranted against defects in workmanship and/or materials.

HOW LONG THIS WARRANTY LASTS: This warranty extends only to the original purchaser of the product and lasts for one (1) year from the date of original purchase or until the original purchaser of the product sells or transfers the product, whichever first occurs.

WHAT LASKO WILL DO: During the warranty period, Lasko will, at its sole option, repair or replace any part or parts that prove to be defective or replace the whole product with the same or comparable model.

WHAT THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER: This warranty does not apply if the product was damaged or failed because of accident, improper handling or operation, shipping damage, abuse, misuse, unauthorized repairs made or attempted, or the use of the product for commercial or nonresidential service. This warranty does not cover shipping costs for the return of products to Lasko for repair or replacement. Lasko will pay return shipping charges from Lasko following warranty repairs or replacement.

ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY),

LAST ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF ORIGINAL PURCHASE OR UNTIL THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER OF THE PRODUCT SELLS OR TRANSFERS

THE PRODUCT, WHICHEVER FIRST OCCURS AND IN NO EVENT SHALL LASKO’S LIABILITY UNDER ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY

INCLUDE (I) INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FROM ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER, OR (II) REPLACMENT OR REPAIR OF ANY

HOUSE FUSES, CIRCUIT BREAKERS OR RECEPTACLES. NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY, IN NO EVENT SHALL LASKO’S

LIABILITY UNDER ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT AND ANY SUCH LIABILITY SHALL

TERMINATE UPON THE EXPIRATION OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD.

Some states and provinces do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so these exclusions or limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state and province to province.

Proof of purchase is required before a warranty claim will be accepted.
