AC Powered Products: Important Safety Information

CAUTION ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD

• To prevent injury, this camera must be securely mounted in accordance with the installation instructions.

• Mount the camera high and out of reach so the angle of the front of the camera tilts down, allowing the sun-shield to shade the sensor, thus providing the best quality picture.

• Mount the camera out of reach of water sprinklers to avoid water spotting the lens cover and degrading the image quality.

• If you want to relocate the mounted camera, be sure to turn off the power before moving and remounting it.

• Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other device that produce heat.

• Maintain a minimum distance of at least 6 inches around device for sufficient ventilation.

• Please always use a soft, dry cloth when cleaning it.

• Protect the power cord and cable from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.

• Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing may be required when the device has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the device, the device does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

POWER SUPPLY WARNING

Your product has a power supply. The power supply is weatherproof and can be installed outdoors.

Use these tips to ensure reliable power supply usage. Make sure the outdoor outlet is weatherproof.

Please follow these safety guidelines

• To maintain proper cooling and minimize water exposure, Do NOT mount the power supply so that it lays horizontally or flat.

• Do NOT mount the power supply upside down. Keep the cable connector port on the bottom.

• Avoid direct sunlight.

Caution: If left in the sunlight, surface may become hot to the touch.

• Use the power supply that comes with your product; do not use any other power supply.

• Do not use power supply with any other product except the Alert camera.

• Do not use a damaged power supply or attempt to repair one that is damaged.

• Do not immerse the power supply in water or subject it to physical abuse.

• Inspect the power supply regularly for damage to its cable, plug, and body.

• Do not route in an area where the plug is exposed to moisture.

• Plug the power supply to the nearest power outlet.

• Do not plug your Outdoor Camera into a surge protector or UPS.

Infrared Illumination LED Notes & Warnings

* Your camera contains a built-in infrared (IR) filter. In low-light conditions, the built-in IR illuminators turn on and the filter is removed. Without the IR filter, colors have a different appearance.

Green foliage in sunlit outdoor scenes may appear grayish-green in comparison to the IR filter used in the standard lens. During illuminated dark scenes, images will appear to be black and white.

Some materials reflect and absorb IR light differently than visible light, so some illuminated objects may appear lighter or darker than expected.

The LEDs used in the camera are “class 1” infrared radiating devices and comply with the

International Standards EN 60825-1. Users should follow the proper use rules below. Usage other than specified here may cause hazardous radiation exposure.

* Do not look directly into the camera for extended periods of time. Be aware that the beam is invisible light and cannot be seen.

* Keep it out of reach of children.

* Do not try to replace or repair the camera. The LED components are not user-replaceable.

* Do not scratch the lens.

* Wipe the protective glass shield over the lens and LEDs periodically with a clean, soft cloth.

* Dispose of the camera according to the laws and regulations of your region. For example, at a recycling center that accepts electronic devices.

Logitech Alert Product Limited Warranty

Logitech warrants that your Logitech hardware product shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for two (2) years, beginning from the date of purchase.

Except where prohibited by applicable law, this warranty is nontransferable and is limited to the original purchaser. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary under local laws.

Remedies

Logitech’s entire liability and your exclusive remedy for any breach of warranty shall be, at Logitech’s option, (1) to repair or replace the hardware, or (2) to refund the price paid, provided that the hardware is returned to the point of purchase or such other place as Logitech may direct with a copy of the sales receipt or dated itemized receipt. Shipping and handling charges may apply except where prohibited by applicable law. Logitech may, at its option, use new or refurbished or used parts in good working condition to repair or replace any hardware product. Any replacement hardware product will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or thirty (30) days, whichever is longer or for any additional period of time that may be applicable in your jurisdiction.

This warranty does not cover problems or damage resulting from (1) accident, abuse, misapplication, or any unauthorized repair, modification or disassembly; (2) improper operation or maintenance, usage not in accordance with product instructions or connection to improper voltage supply; or (3) use of consumables, such as replacement batteries, not supplied by Logitech except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

Before submitting a warranty claim, we recommend you visit the support section at www.logitech.com for technical assistance. Valid warranty claims are generally processed through the point of purchase during the first thirty (30) days after purchase; however, this period of time may vary depending on where you purchased your product – please check with Logitech or the retailer where you purchased your product for details. Warranty claims that cannot be processed through the point of purchase and any other product related questions should be addressed directly to Logitech. Vorsicht: Elektroschockgefahr

• Zur Vermeidung von Verletzungen muss diese Kamera gemäß den Installationsanweisungen sicher befestigt werden.

• Montieren Sie die Kamera an einer hohen Stelle außer Reichweite, mit leichter Neigung nach unten, damit der Sensor vor direkter Sonneneinstrahlung geschützt ist und die bestmögliche Bildqualität erzeugt wird.

• Montieren Sie die Kamera in sicherer Entfernung von Sprinkleranlagen, um Wasser auf der

Linsenabdeckung und eine damit einhergehende Verschlechterung der Bildqualität zu vermeiden.

• Wenn Sie die montierte Kamera an einer anderen Stelle anbringen möchten, schalten Sie sie aus, bevor Sie sie abmontieren.

• Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Wärmequellen (Heizkörpern, Öfen, Herden oder anderen

Wärme abgebende Geräten) auf.

• Achten Sie auf einen Abstand von mindestens 15 cm rund um das Gerät, damit eine ausreichende

Lüftung gewährleistet ist.

• Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen des Geräts immer ein weiches, trockenes Tuch.

• Treten Sie nicht auf das Netzkabel oder andere Kabel und verhindern Sie ein Knicken oder Dehnen.

Achten Sie besonders auf Kabelenden an Steckern, Mehrfachsteckdosen und Gerätebuchsen.

• Überlassen Sie die Wartung qualifiziertem Fachpersonal. Das Gerät muss nur gewartet werden, wenn es auf irgendeine Weise beschädigt wurde (z. B. wenn das Netzkabel oder der Stecker beschädigt wurden, Flüssigkeiten oder Gegenstände in das Gerät gelangt sind, das Gerät nicht ordnungsgemäß funktioniert oder fallen gelassen wurde).

UL-Sicherheit: Das Gerät wurde von den „Underwriters Laboratories“ (UL) getestet.

Es sollte nur mit anderen UL-geprüften Geräten verwendet werden.

Warnung bzgl. des Netzteils:

Das Gerät ist mit einem Netzteil ausgestattet. Das Netzteil ist wetterfest und kann im Außenbereich installiert werden. Beachten Sie diese Tipps, um eine zuverlässige Stromversorgung sicherzustellen.

Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Außensteckdose wetterfest ist.

Beachten Sie folgende Sicherheitsrichtlinien:

• Damit das Netzteil richtig gekühlt werden kann und es so wenig wie möglich Wasser ausgesetzt ist, montieren Sie es nicht in einer horizontalen oder flachen Position.

• Montieren Sie das Netzteil nicht falsch herum. Der Anschluss für das Netzkabel muss nach unten zeigen.

• Setzen Sie das Netzteil nicht direkter Sonneneinstrahlung aus.

Vorsicht: Wenn es für längere Zeit direkter Sonneneinstrahlung ausgesetzt ist, kann die Oberfläche heiß werden.

• Verwenden Sie nur das Netzteil, das im Lieferumfang des Geräts enthalten ist.

• Verwenden Sie das Netzteil ausschließlich für die Alert-Kamera.

• Verwenden Sie das Netzteil nicht in beschädigtem Zustand und versuchen Sie nicht, es zu reparieren.

• Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt mit Flüssigkeiten und gehen Sie sorgfältig mit dem Netzteil um.

• Prüfen Sie Kabel, Stecker und Hauptteil des Netzteils regelmäßig auf Schäden.

• Verlegen Sie das Kabel nicht an einer Stelle, wo der Stecker Feuchtigkeit ausgesetzt ist.

• Schließen Sie das Netzteil an der nächstgelegenen Steckdose an.

• Schließen Sie Ihre Outdoor Camera nicht an einer Steckdose mit Überspannungsschutz oder einer USV an.

Infrarot-Beleuchtungs-LED – Hinweise & Warnungen

* Ihre Kamera enthält einen integrierten Infrarot-Filter. Bei schwacher Beleuchtung wird die integrierte Infrarot-Beleuchtung eingeschaltet und der Filter entfernt. Ohne diesen Infrarot-Filter werden Farben verfälscht. Grüne Blätter im Sonnenlicht werden graugrün dargestellt, wenn der

Infrarot-Filter in der Standardlinse nicht verwendet wird. Aufnahmen von beleuchteten dunklen

Orten werden schwarz-weiß dargestellt. Einige Materialien reflektieren und absorbieren Infrarotlicht anders als sichtbares Licht. Dadurch können beleuchtete Objekte heller oder dunkler als erwartet dargestellt werden.

Die in dieser Kamera verwendeten LEDs sind Infrarot ausstrahlende Geräte der Klasse 1 und entsprechen der internationalen Norm „EN 60825-1“. Benutzer sollten die untenstehenden Regeln zum ordnungsgemäßen Gebrauch einhalten. Eine andere Verwendung als hier beschrieben kann zur Freisetzung schädlicher Strahlung führen.

* Blicken Sie nicht länger direkt in die Kamera. Beachten Sie, dass der Lichtstrahl nicht sichtbar ist.

* Halten Sie die Kamera von Kindern fern.

* Versuchen Sie nicht, Teile der Kamera zu ersetzen oder die Kamera zu reparieren. Die LED-

Komponenten können nicht vom Benutzer ausgetauscht werden.

* Achten Sie darauf, dass die Linse nicht zerkratzt wird.

* Reinigen Sie die Glasabdeckung über der Linse und den LEDs regelmäßig mit einem sauberen, weichen Tuch.

* Entsorgen Sie die Kamera gemäß den Gesetzen und Bestimmungen Ihres Landes. Bringen Sie sie zum Beispiel zu einer Recycling-Stelle, die elektronische Geräte annimmt.

Eingeschränkte Logitech Alert-Produktgarantie

Logitech garantiert, dass Ihr Logitech Hardwareprodukt für 2 Jahre ab dem Kaufdatum keine Material- und Verarbeitungsfehler aufweisen wird. Außer dort, wo dies vom anwendbaren Recht untersagt ist, ist diese Garantie nicht übertragbar und auf den Originalkäufer beschränkt. Diese Garantie gewährt Ihnen besondere gesetzliche

Rechte, Sie können jedoch auch andere Rechte besitzen, die je nach örtlichen Gesetzen unterschiedlich sind.

Logitechs gesamte Haftung und Ihr einziges Rechtsmittel für jegliche Art der Garantieverletzung ist nach Logitechs Ermessen entweder (1) die Reparatur oder der

Austausch der Hardware oder (2) die Rückerstattung des bezahlten Preises, vorausgesetzt, dass die Hardware an den Kaufort oder solch anderen Ort zurückgebracht wird, der von Logitech bestimmt wird, und zwar zusammen mit einer Kopie der Kaufquittung oder einer datierten aufgeschlüsselten Quittung. Betriebszustand befinden, zur Reparatur oder zum Austausch eines beliebigen Hardwareprodukts verwenden. Produits alimentés sur secteur: consignes de sécurité importantes

ATTENTION: RISQUE D'ELECTROCUTION

• Pour éviter tout risque de blessure, positionnez la caméra de façon sécurisée conformément aux instructions d'installation.

• Installez la caméra en hauteur et hors de portée de sorte que la tête de l'appareil soit inclinée vers l'avant et que le capteur soit protégé du soleil par la visière pour une qualité d'image optimale.

• Fixez la caméra hors d'atteinte des arroseurs afin d'éviter toute projection d'eau sur l'objectif, ce qui pourrait dégrader la qualité de l'image.

• Si vous souhaitez déplacer la caméra pour l'installer à un autre endroit, assurez-vous au préalable de couper l'alimentation électrique.

• N'installez pas le dispositif à proximité d'un radiateur, d'un poêle ou de toute autre source de chaleur.

• Dégagez une zone d'au moins 15 cm autour du dispositif pour garantir une aération suffisante.

• Pour nettoyer la caméra, utilisez toujours un chiffon doux et sec.

• Evitez de marcher sur le cordon ou le câble d'alimentation ou de le pincer, en particulier au niveau des prises, des socles de prises d'alimentation et du point de sortie de l'appareil.

• Pour tout réparation du dispositif, faites appel à des techniciens qualifiés. Le dispositif doit être réparé dès qu'il a été endommagé, par exemple si le cordon d'alimentation ou la prise est endommagé(e), si un liquide a été renversé, si des objets sont tombés dessus, s'il ne fonctionne pas normalement ou s'il est tombé.

AVERTISSEMENT RELATIF AU BLOC D'ALIMENTATION

Votre produit est équipé d'un bloc d'alimentation. Le bloc d'alimentation est résistant aux intempéries et peut être installé à l'extérieur. Référez-vous aux conseils suivants pour un bon usage du bloc d'alimentation. Assurez-vous que la prise extérieure est résistante aux intempéries.

Veuillez respecter ces règles de sécurité

• Afin de garantir une bonne aération et de réduire les risques d'exposition aux liquides, n'installez pas le bloc d'alimentation en position horizontale ou à plat.

• N'installez pas le bloc d'alimentation à l'envers. Le port de connexion du câble doit être situé sur la partie inférieure.

• Evitez toute exposition directe du bloc d'alimentation aux rayons du soleil.

Attention: après une exposition au soleil, la surface du bloc d'alimentation peut devenir chaude.

• Utilisez le bloc d'alimentation fourni avec votre produit. N'utilisez aucun autre bloc d'alimentation.

• N'utilisez le bloc d'alimentation avec aucun autre produit, excepté la caméra Alert.

• Si le bloc d'alimentation est endommagé, ne l'utilisez pas et ne tentez en aucun cas de le réparer.

• Ne plongez pas le bloc d'alimentation dans de l'eau et ne le malmenez pas.

• Vérifiez régulièrement que le bloc d'alimentation ne présente pas de défaillance au niveau du câble, de la fiche ou du boîtier.

• Ne le branchez pas sur une prise exposée à l'humidité.

• Branchez le bloc d'alimentation sur la prise la plus proche.

• Ne branchez pas votre caméra d'extérieur sur un parasurtenseur ou un système d'alimentation sans coupure.

Remarques et avertissements concernant les témoins d'illumination infrarouge

* Votre caméra est équipée d'un filtre infrarouge (IR) intégré. En cas de faible luminosité, les illuminateurs IR intégrés s'allument et le filtre est retiré. En l'absence de filtre IR, les couleurs ont une apparence différente. Un feuillage vert dans un décor ensoleillé d'extérieur peut apparaître gris-vert en comparaison avec le filtre IR utilisé dans les objectifs standard. Les images filmées dans un cadre sombre et éclairé apparaîtront en noir et blanc. Certaines matières ne reflètent et n'absorbent pas la lumière infrarouge de la même façon que la lumière visible. C'est pourquoi certains objets peuvent apparaître plus clairs ou plus foncés que prévu.

Les témoins lumineux utilisés dans la caméra sont des dispositifs de radiation infrarouge de Classe 1 et sont conformes aux normes internationales EN 60825-1. Merci de respecter précisément les règles d'utilisation énoncées ci-dessous. Une utilisation autre que celles énoncée ici peut entraîner une exposition dangereuse aux radiations.

* Ne regardez pas directement la caméra au cours de périodes prolongées. Sachez que le faisceau diffuse une lumière invisible à l'œil nu.

* Tenez la caméra hors de portée des enfants.

* N'essayez pas de remplacer des composants ou de réparer la caméra. Les composants des témoins lumineux ne sont pas remplaçables par l'utilisateur.

* Evitez les éraflures sur la lentille.

* Essuyez régulièrement le dispositif de protection en verre situé au dessus de la lentille et des témoins lumineux à l'aide d'un chiffon propre et doux.

* Mettez la caméra au rebut dans le respect de la législation locale. Par exemple, au sein d'un centre de recyclage qui accepte les dispositifs électroniques.

Garantie limitée du produit Logitech Alert

Logitech garantit que votre produit Logitech est exempt de tout défaut de matériel et de construction pour 2 ans, à partir de sa date d’achat. Hormis lorsque les lois en vigueur l’interdisent, cette garantie n’est pas transférable et elle est limitée à l’acheteur initial. Cette garantie vous octroie un certain nombre de droits et vous bénéficiez

également d’autres droits qui varient selon les lois locales en vigueur.

En cas de rupture de garantie, la seule obligation de Logitech et votre seul recours consistent, à la discrétion de Logitech, (1) à réparer ou remplacer le matériel, ou (2) à rembourser le montant payé, sous réserve qu’il soit renvoyé au point de vente ou à tout autre lieu indiqué par Logitech, accompagné d’un justificatif d’achat ou d’un reçu détaillé et daté. Des frais de port et de traitement peuvent être demandés, sauf si cela est contraire aux lois applicables. Logitech se réserve le droit d’utiliser des pièces neuves, remises à neuf ou déjà utilisées mais en état de marche pour réparer ou remplacer le produit.
