All current waste carts in the County (whether brown
or blue) will turn into recycling carts. All residents will
receive new GREY waste carts in the next month. You
can begin using the new grey carts for waste after your
last service day in June; the new carts will not begin to
be emptied until the 1st week of July. If you have been
participating in curbside recycling, please note that
all recycling will now go into your former waste cart
(brown or blue) and can be co-mingled (no more sorting!).
Please note that glass will NOT be accepted for curbside
recycling. Glass as well as food waste will contaminate
your recycling bin.
• Place container in street with wheels against the curb / within two feet of blacktop.

What Can I Expect to Happen With
My Trash & Recycling?
" Cut out and save this schedule
Summit County is implementing a new and expanded
recycling curbside pickup program, beginning the week
of July 2, 2012. This new program will provide curbside
service throughout Summit County to all households,
excluding cabin and remote areas. This expanded program
means that less waste will go into the County landfill
and more households will benefit from convenient
curbside recycling. This entire recycling program is for residential service only.
• Do not place trash in recycle containers — they will NOT be emptied.
