conversions for 11 European countries. Its sleek, compact case and handy wallet keep the
calculator protected, and let you easily carry the calculator wherever you go.

To prevent battery drain during shipping,
your calculator is shipped with an insulation
strip that you must remove before use. To
remove the strip, firmly grasp its end and
gently pull it out. The calculator sounds a
long beep and '(#&&ý&& appears.

Open the cover. To set the calculator to
sound a tone each time you press a key,
press Ó so the calculator beeps once. To
turn off the key tone, press Ó again.

Press the desired city key twice to turn on
the daylight saving time. IKCC;H appears.
Press that key again to turn off the daylight

time zone, then press 12/24/%. In the 12hour time format, FC appears for a PM
hour. You cannot shift the 12- or 24-hour
formats in other time zones.
Once you set the date and time for your
home time zone, all other world times are
set automatically, based on your home time

alarm for about 5 minutes. Î appears. After
about 5 minutes, the alarm sounds for about
1 minute, then automatically turns off. Or,
you can press any key (except SNOOZE/Ó)

Î disappears. To cancel the snooze
function before it begins, repeatedly press
Ì until Î and Ì disappear. Press Ð to
return to the current clock/calendar display.

You can view the calendar from the years
1901 to 2099. To flip through the calendar
one month at a time, repeatedly press (or
hold down) C1/∆ or C2/∇. To return to the
current clock/calendar display, press Ð.

The calculator automatically returns to the
clock/calendar display if you do not press a

Follow these steps to set up the exchange
rates and convert currencies.
1. Press CAL/AC to enter the calculator
mode.
2. Press C1/∆ or C2/∇ to see if the
exchange rate is correct. If it is, go to
Step 6. If not, go to Step 3.

3. To set up the exchange rate in C1,
press SET. The exchange rate on C1
flashes.
Your calculator is preset with 11 European
currency conversions (to/from the European
dollar to/from a national currency). You can
also change any of the exchange rates to
set up a currency conversion, such as the
US dollar to the European dollar, or the
European dollar to the US dollar.
4. Repeatedly press C1/∆ or C2/∇ to select
the desired exchange rate, or enter the
desired rate (for example, the
conversion rate between the US dollar
and the European doolar) then press
SET to save the rate for C1.

Keep the calculator dry; if it gets wet, wipe it
dry immediately. Use and store the
calculator only in normal temperature
environments. Handle the calculator
carefully; do not drop it. Keep the calculator
away from dust and dirt, and wipe it with a

Your calculator comes with one CR2025
lithium battery for power. When the display
dims or the calculator’s speed slows,
replace the battery.

two screws from the battery
compartment cover, then remove the
cover.
2. Use a screwdriver to gently push the old
battery out of the battery holder.
3. Insert the new battery with the positive
(+) side up, then push it into the battery
holder..

two screws.

Use only a fresh battery of the required size
and recommended type.

If the calculator displays segmented digits,
does not work properly, or locks up, you can
reset it by using a pointed object, such as a
straightened paper clip, to press RESET on
the back of the calculator. The calculator
sounds a long beep. The default time is set
to '(#&&. Reset the date and time, as

can be fatal.
